Tratoria da Mario is a really nice local restaurant. It is very affordable and for like 15eur you get to taste a huge range of local dishes. Its amazing!

A very difficult review to write. There is no menu you are given a huge array of cheeses, cold meats and some cooked dishes. Plenty for vegetarians too. Drinks are similar, beer, water or red wine only. It all comes at once, the food is all good, not outstanding but no complaints. The quantity is ridiculous and the waste must... More

The owners of our apartment suggested we try this restaurant. We arrived early and got a table outside and 12 dishes of local food and a litre of wine were given to us. It seems everybody in the restaurant gets the same there is no menu. We were unable to eat everything but it was all really nice. The total... More

I ordered Caponatta as a starter and suddenly I had so many things on my table... a plate with Caponatta, fried eggplants, omelet, another with cheese, salame, mortadela, another with french fries, another with ricota (if Im not wrong), olives...... We had 2 menus of 11-12 dishes, a bottle of wine, limontselo and desserts for 30 euros. Some of the dishes were great, others not so much but overall you get a good idea of the food the locals enjoy so much. You will certainly enjoy dinner!

Amazing place!! we came to the place recommended by a local. This was absolutely a surprise for us. Honestly the most interesting restaurant we visited in our trip in Sicily. The athmosphere on the terrace between old buildings in one of the most beautiful streets of Catania and surrounded by only locals, was amazing. Most of the products were local... More

AMAZING antipasti menu for 10€/person including one drink, this was definitely a fabulous dinner we´ll never forget!!! We ate out on the terrace, as the premises seem to be quite small, it was a very popular place with the locals and we just LOVED it!!!
