Sooo good fries! The other evening i tasted very bad ones and this choice was anything i wanted - local place with history and crispy salty fries with thyme i think? Love it!

Stopped for a quick bite to eat. The menus are outside and it is basically jacket potatoes or rolls with croquettes or a chick pea middle. Simple, reasonably priced. Drinks available to purchase as well.

Visiting Palermo, I found few places open on Monday evening and fortunately found the small Solo Patate, where I ordered a baked potato to take back to the hotel for dinner. The owner was kind and helpful despite our language differences. The potato was covered...in Sicilian good things -- olives, tuna, tomatoes... I recommend!More

First off, the owner was exceptionally welcoming and helpful. They took care in accommodating my food allergy and served one of the best potatoes I’ve ever had. I ordered the patate Lorenzo, which was loaded with (pancetta style) bacon and cheese. Also, helpful to know-...everything on the menu was gluten free. This Irish girl gives it a 5 ⭐️ grazie milleMore

We were in a hurry and walking back to our hotel and after watching all these people enjoying their spiraled potatoes chips we couldn’t pass it up. They were wonderful, hot out of the fryer and perfect. 😀

It was my first meal in Sicily after a thirty hour trip from Australia. Didn't fancy pasta or pizza or arancina. The two guys working in the shop were so friendly and welcoming and interested, the perfect introduction to Sicily. They were really proud of...their food, all home made with love. I had an enormous baked potato stuffed wth tuna and melted cheese and cherry tomatoes and olives. Best baked potato of my life. Although filling, it wasn't heavy or stodgy, unlike the arancia I had today. Just full of Mediterranean flavours. I wish I just had another baked potato.More

Yep, as the title says! Gorgeous, Sicilian street food, at good prices and excellent service. As a restaurant called Only Potato might suggest, it specialises, but that's no bad thing. The Arancina was particularly fine. Nice bloke serving too - chatty and friendly. Honest pricing...too, which was the one draw back to Palermo that I did find through the trip. Thoroughly recommend.More
