Within a few metres of the fresh food stalls of the ancient Vucciria market, this restaurant is about fish ... and freshness. A family-run business for three generations, da Totò is an intimate place with friendly staff and wonderful food, from its wide ranging antipasti to main courses, both pasta-based and on its own. Open every day and some evenings:... More

We were looking for the market on our map when a woman in the street asked if she could help! First time ever! She showed the way to the market but also said if you want true typical Sicilian food eat here 'da Toto'. Delicious antipasti pasta and fresh fish. We were also served cold red wine which was strange... More

We ate here on our first night in Palermo and loved it. We ended up having several more meals at this trattoria during our stay in Palermo. Every item we ordered was delicious. The portion sizes are generous and the staff are friendly and quite accommodating. Would highly recommend a visit to this plane if you are looking for a... More

Really amazing food, the family business well done and specially the swordfish: one of the tasty and good we ever eat. Don't be disturbed by the neighborhood, it's real Palermo charm.

Today we were taken here for lunch by a friend who is a local, as visitors to Palermo it is unlikely we would have found this little secret. The seafood was superb, so fresh and perfectly cooked. I loved the simple décor and the owner was very kind in assisting us with choosing our dishes. To top it off, I... More

a small restaurant in the centre of Palermo, within the market "La vucciria", where you can eat fish and other dishes typical of Sicily. I took spaghetti with artichokes, tomato and shrimps, exciting. Service was good.

Searching for somewhere to eat before getting the train, we discovered this trattoria just off Via Roma, it's slightly hidden but fantastic. The restaurant is small and serves a great selection of traditional Sicilan food for a very reasonable price. The only downside was the discussion regarding plastic surgery on the TV when we arrived but this was soon changed... More
