Visited La Duchessa few years back for birthday dinner in summer and were very happy with the food and service, we ordered mainly pizza and it was delicious, they do pasta and many other typical Sicilian food. I ordered some Cannoli to take away which we enjoyed back in our hotel. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

The first night we arrived in Palermo, we were tired after nearly 24 hours travelling. They made us a pizza to go which was delightful. Our last night we enjoyed the dining in pleasure. The service and good was excellent

Honestly, this was not our first choice but I am glad we ended up here. The service was lovely and the pizza was spot on. It is a good basic pizza place, so don't expect more.

After two days in Palermo with wonderful food, today we had dinner in La Duchessa, was the worst food we had in Palermo. If you go, don't eat spaghetti with sardine. They are bad ! My husband had lasagna, very mediocre. We will no return.

A friend and I stopped here for a bite while our ship was docked in Palermo. Just a short walk from the pier, and this restaurant has a large variety to choose from. We chose the Bella Italia and one pizza was more than plenty for two of us to share. Staff was friendly and spoke English, and the bathrooms... More

This restaurant was a couple blocks from our hotel. When we flew in, we just wanted some quick food while our rooms were getting ready. The server suggested a true Sicilian pizza with ham and ricotta. It was absolutely delicious and a big portion. Great crust and thin and crispy. In our two weeks in many cities and lots of... More

Last minute and late night decision for Sicilian Pizza turned to be a very choice. Love it. Vucciria pizza and Duchessa salad was a excellent choice. A glass a house wine was on pricy side comparing with other similar places. A service was decent. It's not a fancy place, looks mor like a fast food place, but the food was... More

We thought the pizza was pretty good, perhaps average or a bit above, but some other aspects of the experience were unpleasant. We ate outside and were constantly panhandled during the meal -- 5 different guys with flowers, an accordion player, and a young boy. This is not exactly the restaurant's fault, but it would discourage us from returning. Also,... More
