Had a lovely meal at a slow pace. Every dish was excellent and the service gracious and fast. Mostly Italians eating there, always a good sign.

Had a great dinner with extra attention from the owner . Their main pasta dishes were interesting-white pasta sauce with nutmeg and basil, a red sauce, and a green pasta with a pistachio sauce. The Italian flag!!!!Good local wine and the antipasto pre pasta was delicious.

Four of us went here for a birthday lunch and were not disappointed. The attraction was that the restaurant advertised dishes from Mare e Monte or sea and mountains. As I am a keen meat eater this looked good. I chose the Caponata for starter which was one of the finest first courses I have ever eaten. The rich and... More

We went to this restaurant on a reference from our guide. We had a full meal. Everything was wonderful the service, Decour, and food were all top-notch. The pasta that was perfectly cooked. The salads were fantastic. I highly recommend the sun-dried tomato pasta, the orange salad, OK, never mind, everything is good.

We were tempted to try this restaurant having read about it in the Lonely Planet guide, and it lived up to expectations! Dour waiters serving traditional fare with barely a word of English to be heard: great fun! Between us we had spaghetti with sardines, penne with artichokes and mushrooms, lamb chops and steak. Portions were generous and even at... More

What a culinary treasure find down a tiny alleyway in Ortygia (Vicolo Zuccola). We took a table sitting out in the alleyway which was a real experience - fantastic atmosphere. Arrived early and soon after the whole place filled up - inside and outside. Great service - but even better the food which was plentiful. Garlic bread was lovely, lamb... More

We visited in early October having strolled by and been taken in by the atmosphere of the tables outside - we were not disappointed. The pesto with mint penne and the farfalle with zucchini were both excellent; we used the bread to lap up every last bit of sauce on the plate. A lovely evening out in Ortigia near the... More

Stroll in the small streets of Ortygia and enjoy lunch at Mariano's Osteria!!! We arrived there but pure chance and it was absolutely excellent!!! Do not hesitate to take the marinated sea food antipasti and so many other ones like the orange salad as well. I personally enjoyed the sea food pasta which was really excellent!
