Tourist trap and the wait staff are not very nice. Food expensive small portions and not very good my calamari was tough and the size of the tunnel we came thru on the way here. Wine was barley not grape juice worst we tasted all week and the most expensive also. We want to another city nearby and same was... More

OK pasta but overpriced wine, grossly overpriced dessert (of sorts) and a €3 per head cover charge. Unsurprisingly, the place was almost empty. "Once bitten, twice shy." Luckily, there are plenty of much better places in Taormina.

Tasty food and attentive, friendly service. One of us didn't care for the wine we chose, but it was our selection and it was 25 Euros for a bottle, so just not a right fit. The food and staff made up for it.

We went in to La Buca for a good lunch with the family. It had a little view of the sea and was a pleasant place. One waiter was a bit on top of us just to sell the moat expensive fish for the whole table, and on top that could only recommend wines in high price classes, above 60... More

We visited La Buca on our last evening of a beautiful stay in Taormina. In retrospect I think we were attracted by the terrace, the decor and the view. There was actually not much of a view... Our initial (surly) waiter took us back up to the entrance hall to lift, with a table fork, a procession of 'fresh' fish... More

We just happened to pick this place by chance for lunch as we strolled through Taormina. You walk in and immediately go down a stairway but then you walk onto a covered balcony with views of the sea below. My wife had the Penne Norma which she enjoyed and I had the Busiata Al Pesto which was phenomenal. It comes... More

There are much better places than this for dinner in Taormina. We visited on a Thursday night and had 2 pasta main courses and a bottle of wine for about €70. The pasta didn't taste homemade and was under cooked in each case. A little bit crunchy. The prawns were few and far between on one dish and there was... More

Popped in here for lunch as it offered a good view. Pizzas were very good and the service was ok. Unfortunately there was a thunderstorm and our table was getting wet. We were moved to another table.

Whatever you're looking for in a restaurant, there are a lot better in Taormina. The food wasn't terrible, but for the price, it falls a long way short. We paid €50 a head, including a bottle of house wine. Given some of the fantastic meals we've had, some more expensive than this, and some for a lot less, you can... More
