Fast paced place, mainly locals who come in for lunch. Seemingly simple dishes, but really tasty and great value for money. Try the typical Florentine lampredotto!

I took note of this place prior to my trip to Florence and was pleasantly surprised when our private tour guide recommended this restaurant. Four women run this restaurant in amazing precision. They cook in the open in the front of the restaurant so you can see everything that is going on! We all had pasta dishes every one equally... More
Get the Lampredotto (tripe), it is amazing!!! This place is very small so may have to wait, but worth the wait, caution: google maps/TripAdvisor map has this place in the wrong place, ask around for directions as the place is very small, can be hard to find, but worth the hunt!! Best place to eat in Florence !!!!! ( and... More
You are so spoilt for choice of places to eat and drink in Florence so we just thought we would walk in and try this place for a while off one of the side streets with lots of food and drinks on offer here you are even more spoilt for choice enjoy
Family run business, centrally located but not very easy to spot as it is hidden in an alleyway. If you pass by, you won't be impressed as the place looks rather small and tired. I went in to book a table for dinner. Saturday is the only day that they open at night. We sat in a long wooden table... More
The place is small with small tables. Unfortunately, there was no proper place where to put coats, so we had to hold them on the knees. The food was good, even if some of the cheese were missing so they were substituted with others. Atmosphere was friendly and the service was good. Reccomended!
This place is literally a hole in the wall restaurant. Narrow and noisy. But the food is absolutely amazing. We took the mushroom risotto and chichen curry with some wine and it tasted by far the best what we ate in Italy. We tried going there again the second day but unfortunately they open at 12 as opposed to what... More
Osteria Il Buongustai is in city center but hidden in the street around the corner from one of the main pedestrian zones with shops. The service during the lunch is very quick because everybody comes here to have a quick lunch and go back to work. The dishes are not expensive but incredibly delicious! You will enjoy your meal there!
This is a quite famous venue in Florence downtown where people can enjoy traditional food. The place is pretty small so booking in advance is highly recommended. Besides of the food that is really tasty and great I was not happy with the service. Nothing bad happened to me but somehow you feel just "another customer".
I must rethink my opinion of this place. I have eaten here before and reviewed it positively on Trip Advisor, once making it my go-to recommendation for Florence. However today I had possibly the worst restaurant experience of my traveling years. The way the hostess neither takes reservation nor takes the name of the parties in line makes it impossible... More
