We went here on a tip from a local. Family owned. You need to make a reservation ahead, because among those "in the know" it is in demand. So stop by a night or two before you plan to go. Everything was enjoyable. The waiters, who seem at first officious, when asked, will stop and take the time to explain... More

Headed here after the higher rated eatery we initially aimed for was closed. The place was packed and we had to wait 15 mins for a table but it was well worth it. This restaurant is not aimed at the tourist trade- 95% of the clientele were locals and the menu was in Italian only. The fare was traditionally Tuscan... More

Another hit from Michelin Italia - this "bib gourmand" hit the spot. We booked and were advised we needed to be finished by 9pm this was fine. Had the steak florentine 1.2 kgs of heaven, gnocchi, penne and bruschetta. This is clearly frequented by locals and is not a tourist restaurant so if you do not appreciate a typical Italian... More

Greatest place for a real florentine t-bone and all the trimmings.

We read the reviews on TripAdvisor and decided to go to this restaurant on a Sunday night only to find they were closed. We tried again on Monday and they were open. We slipped in at 7:30pm before the reservation crowd arrived (of which there were many. Reservations are recommended). The service was good - the staff was patient in... More

We went as a group of seven including my Italian cousin and had superb mixed antipasta followed by the best bistecca fiorentina and large veal cutlets I have eaten in my many visits to Florence. I finished with beautiful chestnut tart.

We went here for dinner our first night in Florence, as it was just a skip and a jump away from the apartment we stayed in. The restaurant looks and feels very old and dark, giving it a lot of character. The menu is entirely in Italian, and though we managed to translate the main things ourselves, it was very... More

Del Fagioli is a great experience. The restaurant is family run and serving authentic Tuscan food, prepared and served in the traditional ways. Their dishes serve as an excellent example of quality, homemade Florentine cuisine. The restaurant and food have not been modernized in any way (some of the decor from the 1400's I think I heard!) and provides a... More
