My Wife and I just had half a carraf of red wine here €10 whilst we watched the world go by. We didn't eat however looking at the meals that were being served it did look nice with a mixture of nationalities eating. The staff are very attentive so if you are passing give them a try.

Only slight criticism, but not of the food or service, was a chain smoker sitting behind me who kept lighting up, non stop, i so wish Italy would... More

This place was recommended in my Italy for Dummies book and I never would have found it otherwise. I could tell it was going to be good from the fact that it was full of locals. It's small but we were able to get a table before the rush. We enjoyed the pumpkin soup, steak and the pasta with boar... More

We have visited the restaurant a couple of times and we were always well served and in a timely manner. Make sure to take the bruschetta and mixed cheeses with honey and mustard :) you won't regret it With regards to the main courses the bisteccha is always a safe bet and of course the pasta is recommended. The ambience... More

Being rather hungry and cold, we were looking for a cosy place for lunch and happened to pass by this place, ticked away in a corner in a small square off the main tourist traffic. It turned out to be a blessing as not only did it fit our needs but provided us with one of the best lunches of... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
