While a nice restaurant, it didn't live up to expectations. No menu; everything served family style, but not the best quality. Very friendly people, and served quickly, but just lots of food of mediocre quality.

The front door of “Il Latini,” another very good restaurant, is literally across the lane from our apartment. I did some research and found that this place not only has a high standing in Florence but is recommended across Italy. They have two seating’s, one...More

Fun restaurant, traditional with great atmosphere, excellent service, energetic waiters, traditional Tuscan menu. The Florentine bistecca is Superb as is their house red. I would buy bottles of this wine to take home. Pasta dishes were delicious too. Would definitely come here again next visit...More

This restaurant has fantastic, traditional Florence food. It was very good. No reservations. Always busy, but worth it !

Good, touristy. Cheap, tasty, efficient. You're in an institution that serves good food at a great price. Just go and enjoy. Their table wine was ok but ridiculously cheap so just go for it.

To have a queue, a restaurant needs to have something really special to offer, or it is a marketing trick to attract attention, create interest and suggest exclusivity. Having eaten here, it is clearly a ploy. The specialty is Florentine steak - several pounds of...More

Classic Florentine place, very traditional dishes and service so for what they are....they are great. There might be better steaks and pasta dishes there, but the experience as a whole is authentic. Love it.

Fun, very good food, excellent value - especially the family style meal that allows you to have a taste of their most popular items, with flowing wine, water and even soft drinks for one in our party - with delicious deserts, Remember - Everyone will...More

Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by
an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city.
The historic center is characterized by the immensity
of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the
brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does
not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni
Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is
enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city

it's not really all you can eat, it's just the way the owner wrote up the bill. Things have changed, now you order from a menu. We are looking for somewhere new, we like the way the old owner ran things!

Around the tables of "Il Latini" friendships are interwoven, all the world's languages are spoken, fervent discussions are held and everyone tastes food that has the flavour of the old times past. Il Latini means tradition: a means of discovering Tuscany and its people. The kitchen is where the best products of Tuscany's countryside are turned into the dishes typical of the tuscan tradition. Il Latini's kitchen was originally the kitchen of Narciso's wife, who used to take the dishes from her home to the cellars in Palazzo Rucellai where tables were set. Sora Maria's cooking was made of ingredients and flavours typical of tuscan cuisine, simple and genuine food that nowadays are still a characteristic of the restaurant. The flood in Florence did not spare the tavern, which continued nevertheless to serve warm dishes Florentine citizens among the muddy streets.
