This place is on a quiet corner not so easy to find but don't give up, the food is amazing. Went there for dinner after running around trying to find a good place. Birreria was quite busy and we had to share a table with 2 strangers which wasn't a problem for us. We've ordered big cold meat platter which... More

The pear and gorgonzola gnocchi was excellent - highly recommend. We also really enjoyed the truffle scamorza, but it was a little difficult to cut and share.

I came here thinking it was a brewery, but it's not. Stayed anyway and had a nice lunch. Homemade pasta with steak special was delicious. Reasonably priced for being close to the city center. Family friendly, outdoor seating and nice beers available too.

It was our last night in Florence, and our daughter had been wanting to try this restaurant for awhile, she was going to school there, so we decided to check it out. The restaurant does not open until 7pm, and I would recommend reservations, we did not have them, so we spoke with the staff and they were ok with... More

We spent three months in Florence and visited this restaurant on several occasions and each time the staff and food were very good. The portions are quite large so you wont go hungry but the quality is good. The pasta is always fresh and the main meat dishes good. The staff are always there to help and are very pleasant.

The waitresses are not kind and pay no attention to the customers , just to themselves. Food is okay but service is not!

We ate at this place for lunch and it was by far the best food we had in Italy. We had a grilled meat plate for two along with some grilled vegetables and it was absolutely fantastic. The beer was cold, the bread was tasty, and we sat outside and savored our meal for a couple hours. The service was... More

Perfect location, small lovely restaurant, very cozy. Excellent food. Don't forget to order the house wine. I've just loved it so much I kept coming back during the days I've been there. The location is also excellent, just in the middle of Florence.

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
