I've eaten pizza all over the world, and all over Italy- I've even tried the other top pizzerias in Florence- Gusta Pizza and Pizza Man, and while all are fantastic, I put Il Pizzaiuolo at or near the top. The owners are unmistakably Neapolitan, conversing...More

Their pizza has a slightly thicker crust which was a perfect change of pace after six straight days of eating pizza. Once you visit Italy you will understand how one can eat pizza every day. We hired a chef for a cooking class and she...More

We ate here on our first night in Florence. Our hotel made the reservation for us. It was a great way to start our trip. The place is simple but comfortable. We found the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful. Of greatest importance: the...More

Excellent neopolitan style pizza ( we split the rustica, diavola, margherita), fresh salad but the winner was the eggplant Parmesan appetizer. WOW! The best I have ever had! Don't tell my Italian mom... Go for the pizza, go back for the melanzana!

My wife and I had lunch here. The place is obviously geared toward quid and efficient processing of patrons (sit down, order and eat quickly, then settle the bill and get out) so I wouldn't recommend them for slow foodies or people who want to...More

We had dinner here last night and had a wonderful dining experience! The antipasto was so yummy although the "Burrata" was too big of a portion for 4 people. Pizzas were good! The meatballs yummy and the house wine "Nero D'avola" was surprisingly good! They...More

The pizza isn't bad, in fact it's okay. After having lived in the area for years you know that Il Pizzaiuolo has a good reputation. Unfortunately the pizzeria is always very busy, so that this place has the rudest staff ever. After having finished the...More

Santa Croce
Stop and stare at the beauty and symmetry of the
Basilica of Santa Croce any time day or night.
Unraveling around it are a number of architectural and
artistic masterpieces, from the Synagogue to the
Central National Library. As a hub for young people,
the area gets busy with people who want to have fun: a
continuous flow of tourists and locals become animated
by songs and dances.

I was there two years ago and the prices were great - we ordered burrata, pizza and wine for two and paid less than 30 euros.
