Cannot recommend highly enough - would come here again and again! The wild boat pasta and the slow cooked beef and polenta is delicious, as were the mussels. If we're back in Florence we'll be back here!

We ordered 2 lunch special meals - tomato and bacon pasta, and stewed beef with roasted potatoes ... OMG best flavourful meals in Italy so far. Delicious and reasonably priced for this high level of quality food.

Description
...A few steps from ‘“Santa Croce” square, in front of the “Teatro Verdi”, in the historical centre of Florence, is the restaurant La Maremma.....since 1987, a meeting point and source of ancient tastes and Tuscan traditions...... With its main dining room sorrounded by the warm colours of the wood and wine most and continuing into a second room with sofa and leather chairs, to get to the tiny hunter-room for just 8 lucky people.
