Stopped in on a sunny Saturday for lunch. We had expectations about how good the food would be from their Rome location, but Obica-Florence was better than expected. Sitted in the courtyard, we started with the Gran Tagliere - their big board of cheeses and meats, followed by the Speck and Casatica pizza. Both were excellent and came with high... More

Food - fine, in parts very fine. The mozzarella is wonderful, as you'd expect from a self-styled 'mozzarella bar.' The food quality is very good overall. I understand Obica is a chain and there is no doubt somebody has splashed a load of cash on the decor and premises of this new kid on the Florentine block. For those who... More

Really enjoyed our experience this evening Starters crostini. Very good. Followed by two excellent pizzas. The only strange thing was in the menu said we do not use onion or garlic which I cannot see being a selling benefit . Just add and enjoy. We didn't suffer ! I bet summer and the open doors would be idyllic

Dear Unnur, we apologize if your experience at our restaurant did not meet your expectations. We just wanto to point out that our cuisine is based on Italian tradition, focused on high-quality and fresh ingredients. All our products are carefully selected from the best Italian suppliers, just like Pasta Gentile from Gragnano, the European capital of pasta production. We do... More

We loved the DOP Margherita pizza, basic i know, but they do it so well! JThe atmosphere is very nice as well and the mozzarella bar has a great selection of different varieties.Enjoyed it so much the first time we came back again!

We have eaten at Obica twice and would go every week if we lived in Florence. My favorite is the pizza with anchovies, capers, and fantastic mozzarella. Nice thin crust and more than ample size for one. Others in our party had pasta dishes that were simply superb. The wine list is what you would expect at a restaurant in... More

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
