I came here a couple of times as it was just round the corner from my hotel: once on my own for dinner and once with my partner for lunch. The only thing that stopped me coming a third time was that their credit card machine wasn't working! This restaurant has a feel of authenticity, with a small menu of... More

In a city full of restaurants catering to tourists, this restaurant felt the most real. The menu is pleasantly small, the food is fresh and delicious, the wine is flowing, and the service is warm and relaxed.

This is one of those restaurants where you hesitate to give a glowing review for fear others will discover it and you won't be able to get a table next time you go. :) We spent a month in Florence and ate there probably 15 times. We tried other restaurants but kept coming back to the family feeling and fantastic... More

The restaurant is located behind the Central Market. It is small (only 13 tables) but provide scrumptious meals at very reasonable cost. The staff work extremely hard and the service was marvellous. If you don't get there right at 7 Pm, you will likely need a reservation.

Small cozy place that seats perhaps 20-30 people. The food is out of the world - delicious, fresh and made from scratch every day. This is mostly a two people operation...super efficient and very very attentive. Ask the server for suggestion and trust his advice. The food is delish, the service unrushed. But word of advice...call ahead to make reservation...this... More

This is a great restaurant. The menu was hand written, with seasonal dishes. The food was excellent and reasonably priced.

We ate at La Burrasca after struggling to find a restaurant that could accommodate us without reservations and because it was listed in our guidebook. Although others describe it as authentic, that was not our experience. We ordered salad and two pasta dishes. The salad was fresh and tasty, but the pasta was very mediocre as compared to what we... This place represents what I love about Italian cuisine - achieving greatness in tastes without loosing its causal look and simpleness. I walked out of a this place wondering how could one ordinary restaurant, with ordinary prices, staff and meals made out of ordinary ingredients turn into something such an extraordinary experience.

A hidden gem in Florence. The restaurant is small, but we were lucky to get a table. We had steaks, all were cooked rare and very tasty as well as tender. Would not hesitate to visit this place again and recommend it to others.
