This is a great place to grab lunch and a drink while visiting Florence. The family who own and run the place are exceptionally welcoming. A family with a little boy came in during their busy lunch rush and the owner was quick to find a stool for him to sit and accommodate the family. They are famous for their... More

We went here twice during our 2 days in Florence. Cute little café. Excellent food. The prices were even better than that. Service was top notch. Fresh food. Portions were enough that we bought lunch and had enough for dinner on our train ride to Rome. Will definitely stop by again.

We happened upon this bar on our first afternoon. I'm glad we did because it is an absolute gem of a bar. The owners are very friendly and the food is fantastic. We ate and drank here every day of our stay in Florence and can't recommend it enough. It's a bit hard to find but well worth the effort,... More

Maybe we visited it in the wrong period of day, I don't know, but there were just a few kind of sweets so we couldn't choose really. The sandwich-pizza offer was much bigger, but for this reason they shouldn't advertise themselves as 'pasticceria'. Anyway, what we have taken, was tasty in the end, but nothing special.

A must stop! One of the best restaurants on our trip! Warm, inviting atmosphere at a great location in the city. I'd fly back to Firenze just to eat there again!

The desserts were out of this world, hot, fresh and very tasty.. The pizza was also very special as well as the prices. Very good quality food and friendly staff. I really recommend you try it out.

I was walking late at the evening trying to find something cheap for me and my mom to eat sitting on the stairs at Piazza della Signioria and found Il Cucciolo. It is a small place, with only two tables inside, but has a great atmosphere and the costumer service is beyond good. Laura was so nice to us (we... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
