I went to this gelateria at least 6 times during my week stay in Florence. They allow you to taste any of the flavors available. I absolutely LOVED the Nocciola flavor! It tastes similar to Nutella. This gelato is amazing. I have tried a lot of gelato and this gelateria makes the best gelato!

I truly don't think you will find better gelato in Florence. It was so delicious that we went every day and one day we went twice! We also loved the server (Kiara?) who spoke wonderful English (even if she doesn't think so) and suggested yummy flavor combos. We were so sad to leave Florence and this perfect gelato place.

We stumbled upon this little gem just off the ponte vecchio after many, many shops said they wouldn't serve our nut allergic daughter. Each gelato is in its own separate container, clearly marked with ingredients. The servers are also well-informed about cross contamination. The gelato is wonderful--creative flavours like lavender, bergamot, chocolate chili, but also the usual suspects like stracciatella,... More

one of the best ice creams i've ever tasted!!!located just around the corner of Ponte Vechio,in the heart of Florence. Definitely recommended the nociola, the flavour with chestnut, the chocolate one,but the top of all was the local cream plus mascarpone cheese!!4 balls for 6,5€.fair enough!!a must taste while on Florence!!

Not the very best gelato i have ever had. But certainly in the top ten. Even on a rainy day in November, we enjoyed the ice cream here. Delicious!

I am such a big fan of gelato, but only the kind that has all natural ingredients. You will only find three truly authentic, natural and most tasty gelato spots (Grom, Venchi) and La Strega Noocciola. Daily visits during our five night stay in Florence. Chocolate with Chili, hit of heat, the pistachio and hazelnut, truly nutty, the lavendar is... More

It looks pretty commercial so I hesitated to go in, but the gelato is legit! It's not sitting out in a display case lake many places, they keep it under lids to keep it cold. The lady working actually encouraged us to try samples, which has been a first in Italy.

As a huge gelato lover this gelateria is up there for me. First visit there this trip to Firenze and went back for more. The Nocciola is divine. Like all great gelaterias there is only a small range of flavours. Close to the Duomo. Highly recommend.

In a sea of gelateria, this one stood out. This place was recommended by a trusted traveller, and did not disappoint. The flavors were more artisanal than other shops (lavendar, dark chocolate and chili, et al), but very flavorful. I had one of their specialities (an egg creme) and dark chocolate... yum! Price is comparable to other shops. I'd definitely... More

Staying in Pitti

Neighbourhood Profile
Pitti
Pitti is a neighborhood characterized by art and history. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues, fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance. End the day with an aperitif in Piazza della Passera or the more romantic Forte di Belvedere, which offers an amazing panoramic view of the entire city.
