I ate here twice when in Florence because their pasta with fresh tomatoes was delicious! Such a simple dish but so tasty. Hopefully I’ll be back again soon!

We tried Osteria Il Gatto E la Volpe for dinner on a weekday. It is a local eatery. Many patrons were watching the soccer/football game. A separate room had a large group who appeared to be a soccer team. Service was okay. We tried our...More

Looks very basic and "tourism free", and the prices are attractive. Service is ok. But when in Italy you expect some kind of basic food quality and skills from the kitchen. This place did not deliver, nor tasty, nor good ingredients on the plates. There...More

Seven minutes walk from the Uffizi Gallery, in a side street, but well worth the walk! We went with a group of 25 people at lunchtime with no booking, and the service was courteous and reasonably quick, and we had the choice of a pizza...More

We were greeted by a friendly waiter spoke to us in English as we tried to speak Italian. He made wine suggestions and we chose the food. After that, another even friendlier waiter came by (I believe they are related) and continued with us during...More

We got a recommendation from a friend to come here and it truly exceeded our expectations and then some. The atmosphere was so quintessential Italian Resturant, beautifully decorated and very welcoming. All around us we're only locals so we clearly were in the right place,...More

We returned to Florence for the day and spent ages walking around to try and find this restaurant. We were not disappointed. The staff are so friendly and helpful, going through glutenfree options with me. I had the mushroom risotto which was incredible... I'm still...More

My girlfriend and I did an Italy trip earlier this summer and made a stop in Florence. We were looking for a reasonably priced vintage Italian restaurant and could not be happier we came across Il Gatto. The combination of food quantity and service were...More

Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by
an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city.
The historic center is characterized by the immensity
of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the
brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does
not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni
Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is
enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city

Hi Brittania, I know that they sell the vinegar for 15 Euro per bottle. It is absolutely delicious. Hope you get the chance to go there again and buy a bottle.
