The ricotta flavour is the best gelato we had in all of Florence (and we tried quite a few!). Slightly out of the way, but worth the trip on your evening walk.

This place was a perfect quick stop for a snack. The pistachio arancine was like nothing I've ever had, so delicious. The lady behind the counter was really sweet too. Wish I could've tried one of everything!

Admittedly, I've never actually been to Sicily, but if the food is anything like the food here, I can't wait to visit!!! Quant ambiance, and really kind staff who greeted us with a complementary glass of rosé. Loved the antipasto mixed plate with truly remarkable...More

While I was on my first visit to Italy, a friend of mine recommended me to try the Sicilian Cannolli before I leave Italy. Directly, I searched for that on the internet and found this place with very good reviews. In the shop, the lady...More

This is a very small shop with a very legit canolli. They are made to order which is really nice. The shell is crispy but and the inside tastes like ricotta mixed with honey. One side is sprinkled with pistachio and the other side is...More

We wanted to try cannoli in Florence at the end of our Italy trip and found this place nearby the Academia Gallery (with the David Statue) - it was almost hidden from sight in a recessed alcove around the corner from the front entrance to...More

Recommended by a local shop owner and the gelato was delicious, not too many flavours to choose from and they had run out of ricotta flavour but nevertheless we were very pleased with our choices. Didn't try the arancini and other delicious looking pastries as...More

I have only tried their arancino nero, cannolini, and gelato, but other pastries for lunch and pasta looked amazing too. Best arancino I've ever had was here. Fried ball of rice that was great for snack or small lunch. Arancino nero was my favorite with...More

I can only speak of the canolo as this is all I had. It was as good as the ones you get in sicilly. Good size, creamy sweet ricotta, nice crunchy pastry. Either end dipped in pistachio or chocolate. Beaut...could eat it every day.

San Marco
The pleasant atmosphere of this residential area, a
stone’s throw away from the Duomo of Florence,
surprises everyone. A continuous flow of backpacking
students provides the tranquil surroundings for the
elderly residents who sit in Piazza San Marco to read
the daily newspaper. Home to several universities,
including the Academy of Fine Arts, San Marco is one
of the most vibrant cultural centers in the city. A
