Food was good, but not any more exceptional than other restaurants we visited. The tables outside did not seem to get the same level of service as those inside (I think they are more intended for aperitivo than dinner). There's also a fair amount of...traffic and exhaust for outdoor seating, so I don't recommend going unless you can sit indoors (likely requires a reservation!).More

What a superb find! This is the 3rd year we have been for dinner, but you can also sit outside with a glass of wine and delicious nibbles. Tucked in a side street off Santa Maria Novella you couldn't imagine what a great atmosphere and...fantastic food could be behind the door. Not big, but packed, so wise to book. My main course of ricotta/marjoram stuffed raviolini in blue cheese and almond sauce was outstanding, presented imaginitively. My partner's beef fillet with porcini was incredible. The tiramisu was honestly one of the best ever! Everything is homemade and the chef deserves high praise for getting out so many perfect dishes from a fairly small kitchen with only a couple of assistants. The waiting staff are great too. This place is a must.More

Best cacio e pepe I've tried in Florence. Also, try the cheesecake for dessert! Standard pricing for Florence, pasta is very reasonable. Partner tried the boar and very much enjoyed it. Nice atmosphere and staff. Recommend booking as it is quite small and usually busy.

We loved this place! The staff was super friendly and service-minded, the food was incredible, and the wine was fantastic. We stopped by spontaneously while passing by to have a drink, and the service was so nice that we decided to stay for dinner, which...turned out to be a great decision! It's a very genuine and family-oriented restaurant, even the menu was so cute and handwritten. Thanks again for an amazing dinner.More

This restaurant was incredible! We were welcomed by a lovely waitress, she went out of her way to help us get seats as we hadn’t book and was busy. She recommended us a beautiful rosé wine, which accompanied our food perfectly. The menu was great...overall with great Italian range. We had seats out the front which made for a special evening. Food tasted incredible and delicious, would definitely eat here again. Highly recommend to all!More

We were hungry but had to wait until 7pm for the restaurant to open, and boy was it worth it! From the wine to waitstaff, it was all wonderful. House wine... we had 2 bottles between the 3 of us! Appetizers of "Zucchini and potato...flan in parmesan cream" with a little balsamic swirled on the bowl. Wow, just Wow! Tagliatelli yum... Eggplant yum... LOL And desserts we had biscotti with a side of Amaretto for dipping and lemon meringue CAKE! I would highly recommend this little gem. ENJOY! We too did not have reservations, and they were expecting a private party but the owner got us in and we were told we had about 90 minutes before the group arrived. Very authentic and we had a great time! One of the best dinners on our trip!More

We were lucky to get a table in this small restaurant. The food was cooked to order and totally delicious. Prices are good, portions generous and service very friendly and helpful. English is no problem. Deserts are made in house and delicious. Wine is reasonably...priced. A local treasure.More

Cicalone is a small, intimate restaurant with just a handful of tables but the experience is absolutely huge. Run by two cousins, it gives the ultimately perfect Tuscan gastronomy experience. Their truffle cheese is the perfect appetizer. The cinnamonny onion soup is a somewhat unusual...yet very satisfactory experience. And the slices grilled beef with truffles is any meat lover’s absolute dream. They offer good Chianti wines by the glass and their homemade cantucci biscuits are heavenly, soft on the inside, crunchy on the outside, both in almond and chocolate flavors. The atmosphere is also fantastic as is the funny, unique decor. Great value for money as well, this is a place to revisited until one tried every single dish on their menu.More
