Wonderful classy restaurant, even old-fashioned in a way (the owner greets you with all the staff at the entrance; there are no price mentions on the lady’s menu; the woman is given a rose upon exiting the restaurant, etc). We sat in a beautiful room with 5 other tables. I especially appreciated the look and the softness of the red chairs. Otherwise it would be more difficult for me to stay comfortable during the tasting set after walking all day. To begin w were immediately welcomed with a glass of a nice champagne like all other guests. We took The Contemporary menu consisting of 8 dishes. The highlights for us were the lobster, the egg & the white yoghurt with mango and crispy quinoa. The lamb deserves a separate mention. The roasted piece was probably the best lamb I’ve ever had and my husband really loved the stewed lamb. At some point the lights were dimmed and a small chocolate cake with candles and “Tanti Auguri” written on the plate was presented with everyone saying happy birthday. The only downside is that we had to pick an average wine because the prices were about 4 times higher than the actual value. Nevertheless this was an extremely enjoyable 40th birthday celebration.

Excellent food and ambiance. We took the contemporary menu. Great sommelier to help you with your wine choice. Between the carrot cake dessert and the chocolates/coffee there were two excessive desserts that were not needed. But overall a great experience!

Enoteca Pinchioro was just as advertised. One of the most amazing dining experiences of our lives. Beware the wine list and the sommelier- he’s amazingly knowledgeable and can guide you into whatever damage you’re willing to do. That includes a $7k per person wine pairing. The staff was accommodating in every way, each dish was a work of art, and for a multi course tasting menu the pacing was great - not too fast, not too slow. Pregnant couple next to us had minor adjustments and they were only too happy to adjust their carefully constructed tasting menu.

We took the full 250 euro tasting menu which was absolutely great. Then we took a 200 euro 3 wine pairing which by itself was also pretty darn good. However the whole experience is just sloppy. Water is not included. God knows if the cheese they offer is included. The staff cannot answer you as to wether you should slow down on your wine and save it for two more dishes. The experience just feels completely disconnected. Then considering that this has 3 Michelin stars I feel completely annoyed. Remove two stars and I can understand and appreciate what was delivered, while expensive, they at least only have 1 star then. It was nice that they allowed what seemed to be a frequent customer to bring his lovely dog along. However the German couple next to us complained and excluded items from their menu constantly because the lady didn’t eat lobster or snails etc. Then it felt like they got all this attention because they were a pain in the ass. I would recommend asking the staff if you will get a desert wine with the package you chose because they were too inept to explain exactly how their insanely priced wine packages work. (2750 euro for a package. You better pour me out of the restaurant a week later) Either way. This restaurant should have some stars removed. They are resting in their laurels. Their breads, don’t even compare to some other three star restaurants. I cannot wait for our second visit to La Pergola in Rome in two nights time to wash this disappointment away. I rarely bother giving reviews so pleas, if you are reading this and have been to a few three or even two star restaurants, be aware. Choose your wines wisely as the staff do not care what you take and barely understand what you want. If this is your first three star restaurant, I wouldn’t be surprised if you were disappointed as well.

Service was excellent, nice ambience in the restaurant. We were offered small gifts throughout our dinner, nice surprises. The restaurant even has a water menu (like a book just for water). Unfortunately the excellent review stops here. We had the contemporary menu with 3 glass wine pairing. We wanted to try the best this restaurant has to offer. The food was just OK, however not 3 Michelin standard. We had much better and "to remember" dinner experience with tasting menus + wine pairing in other restaurants for 1/3 of the price or even less, without the 3 Michelin stars. We felt strange, before having dinner here, we thought we can not go wrong with a 3 Michelin star restaurant. For sure we will not return here.

Terrible experience. Waste of 1000 euros. We live in NYC and been to some of NYC’s best restaurants and paid less for their tasting menu. If you go, do not get the wine pairing! It’s a waste. €200 per person for three pairings that are unlimited, but they only give you a splash of wine each time leaving you waiting for more wine each time. Barely had three full glasses of wine with our meal for that price. We could have definitely ordered two full bottles of wine for less and had more. They were tasty, but not worth the price. Now service. They tried to be on top of it, and they are all super nice, but compared to Daniel in NYC, the experience is lacking, and you pay less! Like I said before. We were left numerous times without anything to drink. They served the entree without the final red wine pairing! With service my husband got up and asked where the bathrooms were and the waiter responded, your next courses is on its way. And my husband said okay, I didn’t ask for that I asked where the bathroom was, and he was like oh, okay. And then had someone else’s reluctantly show him! We paid enough money to accommodate us to use the restroom without worrying about or next course. The food. Some of it was inventive and tasty, but overall it’s nothing special and not deserving of the price. Please, save your money and go else where. The bathrooms. No soap… Literally the two private restrooms have a sink and cloth towels but no soap, not even a place for soap… Need I say more? Michelin please knock off their rating! It doesn’t deserve this! We wasted our money!

This place was a huge disappointment. We were there to celebrate a special occasion and had heard a lot of hype around the restaurant and thus made a booking here through our hotel. We were seated in a crowded courtyard at a corner table. Unfortunately as you looked up, you were treated to a blah view of tube lights on inside offices inside the Relais Chateau hotel overlooking the courtyard. Most unromantic and unpicturesque ambience. We had looked over menu choices earlier and some stuff seemed too way out there for our taste so we decided to go vegetarian with the “Mother Earth” menu. Bad decision. They brought course after course of sour and tart turnips, tart soup and veggies and crisps that had no business tasting so bad or even being on any menu, let alone a Michelin restaurant. I’ve never been so sick of eating vegetarian cuisine. The food had one note through all the dishes- Sour and tart. The kicker had to be getting the most rude, snarky and unpleasant sommelier called Alessandro. We went with their five course wine pairing that he suggested. As he came around to pour, he would deliberately bring a bottle that literally had the last splash left at the bottom. He would pour a tiny amount for my husband, when it came to my glass, every single time , would splash the last remaining three or four drops of the bottle into my glass. My astounded look didn’t seem to faze him. At one point after this had happened three times, I asked him for another taste of the same splash of wine, and guess what he did? Went back in and came out some 15 minutes later, after we had managed to force the horribly tart minuscule portions of food in our mouths, with that little splash from another bottle, the third, that was empty again, and had only a couple drops left ( last drops of this bottle, too! ). Shocking and disgruntling. Reading other reviews, this has happened to others as well, it seems. Keep in mind the wine tasting was an astronomical €350 per person. Not to mention the food was so bad tasting, and not worth the whole € 1500 we spent on this lousy restaurant with this rudest sommelier called Alessandro. Very sour, dour manner. No amount of polite behavior from our waiter or desserts made mostly of ice cream and chocolate pieces you could buy on the street, could negate the bad experience from the sommelier and bad food at this overrated restaurant with no concept of Michelin star cooking. We have been to many Michelin Starred restaurants all over the WORLD, and most of them deserved the Michelin stars but definitely NOT the Enoteca Pinchiorri. If you don’t like to be disappointed and fleeced, AVOID this trap.

Let's get the good part out of the way: their a la carte menus is decent; service was incredibly attentive and accommodating; and their wine list is formidable. And that's where it ends. For someone who has tried several three Michelin star restaurants, I have absolutely no idea how Enoteca Pinchiorri managed to accomplish that feat. We tried their "Evolution" tasting menu. After two truly disappointing courses - comprised of a pedestrian oyster followed by a bizarrely seaweed-tasting ravioli - and seeing and hearing the underwhelming reviews at my table, I requested that they immediately cease bringing us the remainder of the tasting menu and provide us with the option to switch to a la carte. Thankfully, the restaurant obliged without complaint. We subsequently ordered the Agnolotti and a Veal main. Both of them were great but not commensurate with the exorbitant price. We skipped dessert, as the 50 Euro price tag was just preposterous. We ended up paying close to 1,200 Euros for four people for two dishes each and a bottle of the 2018 Tignanello. All in all, Enoteca Pinchiorri was disappointing and not worth the 3 Michelin Stars.

Too many waiters bumping into each other in the little courtyard and above all very badly dressed. It's a pretentious place typical of those you find in medium size touristic towns. The food is over the top without being really tastefull. No real direction or personnality in the preparations, just lots of would be fashionnable tricks with emulsions, variations on a single ingredient, etc. I wonder what the Michelin critics are doing with their time...The funniest part is probably the wines. I think it's pretty telling when you cannot find any bottle under 200 euros in the phone book they present you (especially in Italy). We tasted one of their cheap wines at 275 euros a bottle, according to the sommelier it was supposed to be one the quintessential tuscan red. Well made but really unremarquable.

I’m always intrigued as to why Michelin give 3 stars vs 2 or even 1. I often wonder if I could see why this happens. With Enoteca Pinchiorri, you get a glimpse into the mind of a Michelin inspector. The level of service is so high with every aspect of the experience perfectly looked after by the attentive staff. The sommelier deserves a special mention for adapting to the wildly differing needs of the two of us. I was very much appreciative of the high quality of the wine pairing but the restaurant was equally happy to serve a more modest amount to my wife. The food? A more exceptional menu I have yet to meet. The food reflected the region and was firmly rooted in its location and season. There was some exceptional cookery especially with the duck being done so perfectly and without the use of the otherwise ubiquitous sous-vide. Oh no… this duck was cooked by a chef who can actually cook. These are the kind of things which make a 3 star. There was only one dish for me which did not hit a high note and I would say that it was perfectly done but just at the wrong point in the menu. It came after a powerful pasta dish. My palate was not ready for such delicate notes. I’d suggest swopping those round. I have to say something about the exsquisite bread work - there were so many different kinds of bread and they were all brilliant. This restaurant is worth a special journey and I’d happily return.

Beautiful restaurant in a historical building. Waiters were very friendly and attentive. We had the small tasting menu, which was good with excellent Italian touch. However, quality and taste were not at par with other three stars restaurants we have been to. Loud music didn’t quite fit the ambience. Sommelier was rather unresponsive to question about the wine we had. The biggest let down was the wine, which was good but way overpriced (by over four times if you bought from a shop). Overall, an enjoyable evening but due to the wine, we will think twice before returning.

The setting is nice. People are warm and welcoming. The wines are good but greatly overpriced, and Tuscany (a great wine Region) is unforgivably underrepresented. The food is technically well prepared, but the dishes are absolutely uninspired. Not one plate is memorable in the sense that you will remember it tomorrow. „Worth a trip“? Certainly not. „Worth a detour“? Not really. „Good cuisine“? Well, yes. So one Michelin star, and one would not be so greatly disappointed, especially if compared to its peers (Knogl, Caminada, Humm, Ducasse, Alléno, Adriá, etc).

The food is in some cases delicious, in others too rich. The wine list ruins the whole thing. We saw other tables going through the same emotions as us - if you buy any wine, you are parting with 325 Euros minimum and then it’s not that great. The cost of the wine totally spoilt the whole experience. What’s worse is they wait for you to order first and bring the wine ‘bible’ after, because they know it. Shocking rip off and waste of what could be a great dining experience. Overall, the food isn’t good enough to spend the money. You’ll end up with a bill of 1,000 euros for 2, for a mediocre experience. Avoid.

A national building purchased by Giorgio Pinchiorri in 1972 Enoteca Pinchiorri carries all the excesses one might expect from a Michelin 3* Restaurant, from the 16 page Water menu to a €1950 3-Wine pairing and housemade Breads matching each course. Currently toqued by Riccardo Monco while Maître D Alessandro Tomberli directs gratuitously accommodating service it is atop plush seats that diners are invited to dine a la carte or as a €310 degustazione, the latter served at a pace accommodating those who eat both slow and fast. An opulent space filled with oil paintings and flowers, all of it mirrored by grandiose plates full of color, it is after selecting beverages that Canapes arrive as a rainbow of textures and flavors including a Squid Ink Beignet and Black Cabbage Tartelette with Quinoa. Cherished by oenophiles thanks to Pinchiorri’s extensive cellar, though a few bargains can also be found, late-Winter’s tasting began with a warm Oyster perfumed by Laurels before progressing through a thin piece or Squid atop Uni and sheeted Pasta with White Pheasant Ragout plus earthy Bechamel. Frequently veering far from Italy for Ingredients as well as inspiration, and thereby stripping away some of the ‘terroir’ that makes many eateries of Enoteca Pinchiorri’s caliber unique, Sauteed Snails in a Mousse of Sunchoke is nonetheless delicious while Turbot is unfortunately lost beneath all the ingredients on top. Increasingly complex with Duck Breast bathed in Passion Fruit alongside creamy Foie Gras the latter half of the menu is highlighted by a “Cheese Course” featuring Polenta plus Castelmagno while Desserts are elegant and enjoyable but “Italian” in no way. Declining the Cheese Cart, but not an impressive collection of Mignardises, it was after a thirty minute wait that the check arrived with a take-home gift and thanks, though no lasting impact as this sort of Food can be found at many Michelin 2* or 3* establishments nowadays.

We were in a room with 7 tables of 4 of them featured guests in jeans, sneakers and no jackets for the men. Half of the room were staring at thier phones the entire time. It was really wierd. I've been to some of the finest restaurants in the world and they would never allow this energy. Part of the fun with a fine dining experience is the standard set by the location. I dont think they care here. The food was beautiful to look at but nothing special and no memorable flavors. Food still needs to taste good,....even fancy food. Our bill for two guests was just over $1,000 and more than half of it was for wine,......by the glass.
