Read about this place on Spotted By Locals. It's in an awesome little area called Piazza della Passera, on the south side of the river. You'll find some tourists here but it's frequented by locals mostly. We came here for aperitivo while we waited for a table at a nearby osteria. The bartender was great, the drinks were well-priced and... More

A nice find and lovely to engage with. Went there on three occasions for Vino, biscotti, espresso at reasonable prices. Staff were divine and welcoming.

Serves good coffee at very reasonable prices. Good selection of croissants & sandwiches. Small spot but worth a visit. Our apt was very close & found it a good option for breakfast or for a quick coffee on the way home.

Lovely place to go for a short break and coffee. Uncomplicated, friendly and without fuss. I do recommend this place. Take a look at the walls while you are enjoying your coffee. Have fun

The service was friendly and the cappuccinos were heavenly. On a Saturday morning in August it was busy but not jammed. Not tourist pricing. We will be going back for sure!

It had just started raining and we ran in for lunch. We had a fantastic meal pasta with fresh pesto, melon and ham, crostini - one with cheese and tomato, one with cheese and anchovy and mine, beans, garlic, shrimp. All fantastic, friendly service.

We went here twice in 3 days. The bar felt like a local hot spot which is just what I like. Had a beer first time and a glass of red the next. Lovely. It's small but it's on a small road so you can stand out on this street. We got outside seats both time though. It also has... More

Read that this was the place for espresso - wasn't disappointed at all wonderful coffee. Very cosy little family run place, with perhaps slightly 'odd' choice of wall gallery (100s of visitors' 'headshots')

With good coffee, a cozy atmosphere, uncomplicated service and more than fair prices for sweets and panini one of my personal favourites in Florence. Its a nice hangout for cold winter afternoons (don't be fooled by the tiny entrance, there is another room in the back and an upstairs), the music is never too loud and the cakes are handmade.... Great place to grab an espresso and a sweet pastry. Nice place to sit out and enjoy the weather. Worth the trip off of the tourist path!

Thank April C

Staying in Pitti

Neighbourhood Profile
Pitti is a neighborhood characterized by art and history. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues, fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance. End the day with an aperitif in Piazza della Passera or the more romantic Forte di Belvedere, which offers an amazing panoramic view of the entire city.
