Super nice trattoria in the center of Florence. Still ran by the same family, very nice and friendly staff. The food is simple and well prepared. Must try the meringue, chocolate and chantilly!

We had a good meal at Cammillo Trattoria. We walked by the restaurant on a Thursday night in March and it was crowded and we knew it had a good reputation so we made a reservation for Friday night. The restaurant was crowded and noisy which is part of the fun. The staff was nice and friendly. There are lots... More

We had a fantastic meal here! Especially liked joking and conversing with our waiter. He couldn't speak much English, and we very little (as in almost none) Italian, but . . . Highly recommend it! This place fills up with local people at lunch and dinner times! The rabbit ragu was delicious!

Food was good- not many vegetarian choices but compared to other places I have eaten in Florence I thought it was quite expensive. It was also very very noisy and could hardly hear the people we were dining with.

Going to Italy? First of all, don't miss Florence. Don't miss the north side of the Arno where you will find this "local" establishment just a couple blocks downriver from the Ponte Vecchio. Small, busy and a bit noisy but a small price to pay for the most delightful of meals. No wonder is was filled with those who just... More

We had a dinner party for ten on the second floor. We started off with some drinks just standing around and than sat down for the dinner. Everyone ordered individually from the main menu. We basically all had two courses with lots of wine, and some guests had coffee and dessert at the end. The service was impeccable and the... More

I love this place. Atmosphere is delightful with locals being taken care of equally with tourists lucky enough to find the place. The food is so good you can't wait to come back and try more dishes. Fettuccine with White Truffles in Truffle Season has me thinking of flying back to Florence just to taste this incredible dish cooked to... More

Terrible treatment that lacked courtesy. Put in a terrible place whereas locals who had not booked were moved to the best tables.

This place was close to our apartment and was recommended by the property owner. I have never seen fried brains on a menu nor was I brave enough to order it but just shows the variety offered. Our waiter was very nice and attentive and also gave plenty of recommendations. I can't remember what I ordered which is the reason... More

The food is still good. There is a sense that no one is in charge. The staff have a good time as if I was not there.

Staying in Pitti

Neighbourhood Profile
Pitti is a neighborhood characterized by art and history. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues, fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance. End the day with an aperitif in Piazza della Passera or the more romantic Forte di Belvedere, which offers an amazing panoramic view of the entire city.
