If you decide to see Firenze Italia, you may want to check out Coco Lezzone. We ate there a couple of times a few years apart. As a couple, we sat at a big long table with people we didn't know, which was interesting. There were six extremely talkative sales clerks from a famous big New York City department store... More

Physically a typical trattoria, but the waiter was a know it all, the food was pedestrian at best, and the impression was "eat and leave"

we went to this place as it was recommended- I called to make a reservation for 930p and the hostess insisted 9p was better as she made it sound busy. We arrived at 845p and it was basically empty. We were seated at a table and the host came over almost annoyed that he had to serve us. We ordered... More

My boyfriend and I went to eat there while visiting Florence. We came a bit early for dinner so there was only one table except from us. The restaurant was very quiet and there was no music, so the atmosphere was very awkward. The waiter had just memorised the menu in English but he didn't understand anything we asked. We... More

I was disappointed by this basic restaurant, the food was very fresh, but basic. You sit at long tables, service is very simple. I would have been acceptable if the price had not been too high for the style of the restaurant and the level of the food.

difficult to find, but worth the effort. It is small, often crowded, but consistently good. Our favorite dish is the broiled pork chop - perfectly cooked and flavored. The pastas are always excellent as well. The rest of the menu is okay.

I went to have a dinner in this famous old restaurant in Florence. The ambience is peculiar, I din not like to eat with other persons, not having tables only for two, but that is only my taste, was not the problem. I ordered pasta e fagioli, surprise I received the pasta e fagipoli 1 minute later, was clearly a... More

Overpriced wine to start but not bad in terms of quality. Reheated pasta dishes including precooked pasta! Meat not "Chianina " but style of and even though OK was seriously overpriced, real shame they don't put more effort in. Not the way Italian food should be - I could go in but best to go elsewhere

Neighbourhood Profile
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
