We had a great dinner in five people in this very nice Italian restaurant. The food is really good, typical Italian dishes, the service was outstanding and the suggestions just amazing - tried plates by suggestion and were great - seasonal dishes. If you want a real Italian experience visit this restaurant. The owner is a very nice and kind... More

Umberto the owner was absolutely a magnificent host. The food was amazing . We ordered half portion of an artichoke risotto which was heavenly , ravioli and a sea bass that was incredible. Must visit.

The service in this top quality Taverna in Florence was fantastic. Very welcoming and great attention to detail. We had a beautiful veal dish special with fresh artichokes which was divine and the grilled veal chop melted in your mouth. Very well price for the quality of the food, wine and service.

Our original visit with a granddaughter was a great success and we are now imagining it was because of her visit that we had such exemplary service. Unfortunately, such was not the case during this visit. When we had completed our main course, which was somewhat less than acceptable, we were left sitting alone without any service in the middle... A small doorway conceals a spacious understated restaurant. Small but carefully crafted menu, with an eclectic choice for each course. My desire to be adventurous runs into my desire for old reliables prepared to an exceptional level of satisfaction. The selection of salamis, cheeses and pate, with a variety of breads (including sourdough, and, I am sorry to report stale... More

We have eaten here three times. Each time, there's a glass of prosecco to start. Then delicious primo, great secunde and reasonable wines. Waiters are helpful. Recommend reservation as it's one of the best in Florence.

Five star service - which turned out to be spin because the food was pretty awful. Much was made about this being a "step above" other, lovely, restaurants we'd gone to in Florence, so we were expecting excellence. Instead, all courses were astonishingly mediocre: tasteless, pint-sized, unimaginative. In short, the emperor has no clothes!

Very good, local spot with an excellent wine collection and food to die for. Our favorite food spot we visited in Italy, everything made fresh.

The place was deserted on Saturday night - perhaps because they'd recently had a fire but it did make for a funereal atmosphere. Music would have been a mercy. The service was faultless but the food disappointing - confit of turbot was tiny and cold. Our waiter's kindness wasn't enough to save the evening.

Located in s XVI century palace, you can experience very well prepared Tuscan food. The owner Mr. Umberto is a great host and very attentive. We ate early (7:30PM) and were the only ones in the restaurant for almost an hour. That contributed to a very attentive wait staff that I found to be "too accommodating and friendly"---probably since we... More
