Our waiter was Valentino, and his personality and sharing his love of food, wine and amore made our meal the best we have had in Italy. From the outstanding ravioli with spinach and ricotta to the chicken Mama, we left so very satisfied. This is what we had been looking for all along. We will be back!!!

If you love tasty Tuscan food with no frills and in large portions, come to Mamma Gina's. Osso bucco and tripe were so tasty. We made the mistake of having a pasta first course and struggled to make it to dessert, a pity as they looked good. Good and friendly service which just flagged a little as the restaurant filled... What a lovely place this restaurant is! We asked our hotel to recommend somewhere for a good florentine steak and they advised us to walk here, which was about 10 minutes away. Its a bit old-fashioned, but in a good way and the waiter we had (Louie) was very friendly. We shared the bistecca ala fiorentina and it was stunning,... More

We were wandering around the Ultra Arno area (other side of the river) and found this gem. First of all, the atmosphere is quaint and adorable. The waiters were friendly and helpful. The food- was AMAZING. I started with bruschetta, which was fresh and delicious, and my husband got a dish that was a crepe filled with ham and cheese... More

The trattoria deserves 5* first of all for their waiters! Great traditional Toscan menu. We had 2 very traditional starters, white beans and liver pate, followed by pasta. Most of the people seemed to order the T bone steak, a lot of them saying that was the best they ever had. Good location, 5 min walk from Ponte Vecchio. Dessert... More

This was the 1st place we visited since it was close to the apartment. Our waiter was outstanding and offered many recommendations. We spent the night enjoying ourselves with friends and good food. I was even treated to a dessert since they did not have the dessert I was searching for.

Dropped by after reading menu and had a delicious dinner for 3. Wait staff offered daily specials and was professional and knowledged. Our meals were superb and by later in the evening the trattoria was filled with lines outside. The prices were in line with the area and we returned 2x during our stay. A gem in the Oltrano area... Neighbourhood Profile
Pitti
Pitti is a neighborhood characterized by art and history. Renaissance architecture such as Pitti Palace, which houses five museums alone, introduces visitors to the green lungs of spectacular Boboli Gardens. Any visitor can wander through statues, fountains, and panoramic viewpoints. Around the garden, treasures like the Museum of Natural History of the Specola and Villa Bardini guide guests through Florence as the cradle of the Renaissance. End the day with an aperitif in Piazza della Passera or the more romantic Forte di Belvedere, which offers an amazing panoramic view of the entire city.
