The food just didn’t live up to expectations, the risotto had little flavour, same true for the ragu. The steak was delicious however as was the Ross di montelcino. Based on the flavour I couldn’t recommend this place, sorry.

We came at Il Campano with a recommendation from our B&B. We had one of the worst service experience we can remember. The location and food are OK. However, they forgot my wife’s second course and did nothing to fix the problem despite repeated requests...More

Went here on a recommendation from a local, had an excellent meal of various pasta dishes, real quality home cooking by the chef/owner, the local wine menu is also excellent and great value, not overpriced like some restaurants. We had such a great meal that...More

We booked for a Sunday evening at 8pm and went upstairs. From the off it became clear we were going to be rushed. My friend ordered the saddest mussel starter I have ever seen. Literally a bowl of shells in what looked like (and tasted...More

Get the florentine steak. It's cooked perfectly. Service is great. Prices awesome. Perfect place for family dinner in Pisa.

We came here only for dolci (we had too much antipasti elsewhere and we're quite full). We arrived late and were served perfectly. Had great cantuccini, lemon tart and a delicious cappuccino afterwards.

We went here twice when we were in Pisa, mainly due to the fact that we were so pleased with our first meal there that we came back. The food was superb, I didn't have the fiorentina (which looked a popular choice) but the wild...More

Excellent food and wine. Wild boar with polenta and steak with rocket and Parmesan were great mains, but vegetarian mixed starter (shared) was a cut above.

Still the best restaurant we have found in Pisa but why only 4 stars you ask. They have set the bar high so only four stars this time as the seafood salad starter had all the mussels still closed. Other than that the provide top...More

Restaurant where you can find the original old plates of this lovely region, from the old recipe strait on your table. Of course the famous Fiorentina steak is the queen of the restaurant. With a wine list of around 200 wine labels from all round the Tuscany area, where you can find as well someone of the Italian's most famous.
