As it was sunny, we sat outside, with a view of the leaning tower, but there are many tables inside , as the place goes through to another street. Starters of a mixed salad and a dish of white beans served with chopped onions were fresh and tasty, followed by a plate of Penne Bolognese (spaghetti bolognaise is an English... More

We dropped in for a quick lunch here after wandering around the nearby tourist spots. If you sit outside you'll have a view of the tower ahead of you. In this area you have plenty of places to pick from to eat. Considering that you are so close to the tower prices are reasonable. Service was prompt. The staff I... More

We almost missed it, because the terrace of this lovely pizzeria is hidden behind a building. But when you look back towards the town you cannot miss it. We both had a great pizza and a bottle of Vernaccia di San Gimignano, the very tasty white wine we had learned to appreciate on our visit to Tuscany. Once in a... More

Looking for somewhere for a quick lunch after seeing the tower and before catching the Pisamover to the airport. Location was good: quiet, as just off the main thoroughfare, and warm enough to sit outside with a view of the tower. We both had pizza: lots of topping but base a bit thick round the edges. Decent enough food, friendly... More

Great place to have a meal, situated in a private corner so you are not constantly disturbed by passing beggars. We both had different pizzas and enjoyed them. Service was good and not pushy and the prices were reasonable. You can just see the side of the leaning tower too!

I have been in Italy for 2 weeks and eaten out for every meal. Have consumed plenty of the staple tourist diet of pizzas. This was by far .... The Worst. Tasted and looked like a supermarket frozen offering and was unfortunately low down the list of places to return to!

the restaurants close to the Tower can be a bit much of a muchness and cater to a passing trade as people do the hold up bit, take a selfie and move on so not a huge incentive to be over welcoming. we hit it lucky with La Buca. A very friendly welcome and a willingness to explain the menu... More

This is one of a number of eateries near to the tower with a constant stream of vendors trying to entice you in. We picked it as it was near to our hotel and the seating is down a small street off the main pedestrianised area. We had a gnocchi dish each and shared a pizza. Gnocchi didnt taste fresh... More
