This place was a welcome sight away from the crazy bustle of the streets. The owner was super friendly and let us taste the two salumi he had before we decided which we wanted in our sandwhich. (There's only a couple of choices; cheese and salumi or just cheese) The wine was delicious as well. I would eat here every... More

Such an unobtrusive little place we almost walked past, but what a delightful find! Simple fare but at a very reasonable price, and extremely tasty, my first sampling of local salami, we enjoyed it so much we had a second helping. One family turned up, muttered to themselves that pizza would be a better way to 'sample' Tuscany and left.... More

This place is like a historical marker. Low cost. Easy sandwich. Easy wine. Getboff the main street and have a relaxing time.

The best panini I've had in Italy! Wonderful owner, delicious ingredients and very generous with the portions. Wine was yummy as well.

Our Lonely Planet city guide of Florence and Tuscany recommended this place. And for good reason: really nice owner, delicious sandwiches, and the thickest chunks of ham and cheese you've ever seen. Surely recommended!

The owner of this great sandwich shop is great - we understand very Italian but we listened to him passionately tell us about the food, the area and his family for 30 minutes - such a friendly guy! The sandwiches were the best in town too!

Lovely spot off the main tourist drag, stopped for a very reasonably priced drink. Good choice of wines to buy as well.

echoing many of the previous reviews, this is a great simple sandwich shop off the beaten path in san gimigniano. There is basically only one item on the menu and it is a delicious sandwich made with local bread, salami and cheese. they also have the local vernaccia wine. this is a great spot for a quick lunch and a... Appreciate the less touristy feel of the place. Great ingredients make for a great meal. Sizing is also good.

There is nothing elaborate here just very simple panini of salami and cheese. Your host will provide samples to help you decide. A welcome calm spot to chill from the crowds.
