Best spot on the sunny side of the piazza for a drink with nibbles at a premium price but worth it. Had pizza for lunch which was nice too. You can eat better for less inside a restaurant in the town but will it be as memorable?

The Bar la Cisterna is located in Piazza Cisterna offering a fine view of the piazza and good for people watching. It was not particularly busy when we visited yet the service was slow. We have had much better pollo alla cacciatore elsewhere in Italy. All in all, average.

We ordered rice with mushrooms, pasta and pizza. The rice was very well cooked, the sauce of the pasta was a bit salty but very nice taste and the pizza was excellent. For dessert we got Tiramisu, it was a bit too sweet but yummy.the service was good and fast.

I felt harassed by a monstruos lady that couldn't attend my Si please request for some more hot milk on my cappuccino. Sad, as the terrace was amazing.

This bar/cafe has the wonderful advantage of being on the sunny side of one of the main squares in the beautiful town of San Gimignano. We visited two days before Christmas and sat outside in wonderfully warm sunshine enjoying a couple of very tasty bruschettas and a glass of the lovely crisp local Vernaccia local wine. Reasonably priced given the... More

We chose this restaurant because the Piazza and the buildings offer a lovely sight but more than that because it was in the sun. Service was slow, so we wondered how this would be in summer. We ordered pappardelle al cinghiale (lovely!) and ravioli with sage (try something else) and one of their salads as well as 1/2 white house... More

We had a lunch feast one day with the plate of pork, Tuscan chicken dish and veges and a pizza feast the next and it was all really great. We were polite to the waiters and they were all great with fast service, I did feel sorry for them having to put up with some rude customers though...fantastic location too!

After staying in Siena where the food was expensive and not great, when we arrived in San Gimignano it was nice to eat tasty food which was priced reasonably and the staff was friendly. We had pizza, pasta, lasagne and their Tiramisu was delicious. Beers and wine were nice.

We are in San Gimignano on day 4 of 8 days and have enjoyed wonderful food, wine and service throughout the walled town but this was the worst place we have eaten. The young lady who served us was rude and contemptuous basically throwing our food down in front of us in some form of anger. We asked if the... More
