We liked this place so much we went twice in 5 days. Wonderful local style Tuscan and an outstanding wine list with older bottles at decent prices. If you like wine so should go here and ask for recommendations. The waiter/sommelier Pino was very knowledgeable and recommended some wonderful older wines that fit our price range. I went to some... Went to Guido with my husband while on our honeymoon. Didn't quite expect the delicious experience we lived there!! The service was very good and the waiters were nice and answered all of our questions and indulged our curiosity! The food was simply fantastic...the waiters humbly told us that it is easy to make good food when the ingredients are... More

We had a great meal with wonderful service at this restaurant. They have an extensive wine list. Staff were very attentive and helpful with menu selections and possible wine pairing, but not pushy. Food was outstanding,

A restrauteur friend recommended Ristorante Guido, so I made reservations. Later, I read some of the negative the reviews here and began having second thoughts. We went anyway and happy to report we had an excellent dinner all the way through. The stewed Boar (reminded me of pot roast) and pork steak (chop) were both top notch. The chocolate soufflé... In the bright side the food was quite good but in a restaurant of that category you should also feel special no matter if you ask for the more expensive wine o for a bottle of water and that was not the case here. The waitress did not made us feel either special or welcome and have just eyes for... More

I read others' reviews and I beg to differ. Not only was Sunday nite dinner excellent, we plan to go there again. The salads were so fresh, the eggplant so tasty, and my first try at an Italian steak was rewarded. Desserts were equally tasty. The wait staff was attentive but not over bearing. Perhaps tonite a repeat visit!

I stopped by Ristorante Guido for dinner a few nights ago. It was fine and I would be fine going back there in a pinch. But I would probably look for another place first. I didn't have a reservation but the staff were happy to seat me. However, I looked at th menu for no longer than five minutes, and... More

We sat on the street on this seemingly charming and cozy restaurant. The inside seems nice. Pros: -Good location, very close to the center and amphitheatre; -Fair price for what the menu states; -Staff is welcoming and is able to efficiently serve a good amount of tables. Cons: -Our food was especially dry and bland, we ordered the tuna. Steer... More

We shuffled in after being rejected by a tour guide for not having booked earlier. There is nothing worse than rejection so rather than seeking solace at the local Cathedrals we decided that food was our best option! Ristorante Guido is well positioned and has a wonderful atmosphere with vintage photos of celebrities both past and present and it's a... More
