The best food cooked on a huge wood stove. Great menu. Stove is in the room so you can watch the process of shifting the wood and ash.

You don't expect to find such a great restaurant in such a location! We were staying in the campsite and thought we had to try it, we were so glad we did! We sat right in front of the woodfired grill, great entertainment! The service was very friendly, we got to savour each course as it was served progressively, and... More

In this restaurant, you get things different than the usual tourist food. The specialty there are cooked on and in the fire. Do not miss any meat they would grill for you, the potatoes cooked in hot ashes, the onions cooked in a pot over the fire. We were in front of the fireplace, we had the show all night... More

I was in La Stalla in begin of the month with a group of childs. We ask for a cheap dinner for 2 days, they serve pasta in both dinners that was fantastic. We asked also for a picnic bags for lunch, that were very well served, with 2 sandwiches, a bottle of water, a fruit and a sweet treat.... More

La Stalla is the most casual Italian restaurant we've ever seen. It's part of a camping complex above the town of Assisi and operates mid-June to mid-Sept. It has an extensive menu but the star attraction is a wood-fired grill. Don't expect gourmet food but it's good for what it is. The drill is to queue up to order (plenty... More

It is inside a camping and in fact this is its restaurant. The view is great, the food is of very good quality, especially the grilled chicken. The local wine is very good. The price is fair for the quality. I could say cheap. It is s good experience if you want to avoid touristic food

What a great place to dine. A large place with multiple rooms serving as dining areas. As you enter, there is a large wood fired oven where they prepare the grilled food. The cuisine is quite good and the atmosphere is a blast! It's like being at a large family celebration with delicious dishes. I highly recommend eating here, and... More

I first came here almost 30 years ago with my parents. I've never forgotten that meal, (neither has my mum and we talk about it often) so when the opportunity arose to visit Assisi with my husband and daughter I jumped at it. I was not disappointed, the food was wonderful and the whole meal extremely reasonable. I had the... More

You can tell the restaurant is "hot from the crowd of people waiting in line. Giant cook stove/grill in the middle of the restaurant with tables nearby whatching the delicious steaks cooking.
