Very local taste, but with a touch of sophistication. We liked the combination of serving a limited choice of dishes with only local ingredients, although with further imagination. For instance, the tiramisu had chocolate chips. Prices could be lower but it is worth trying it. We spent E 25 each for a pasta with lamb ragu, wine, and dessert. The... More

Friends have been telling me about this place for over a year now and finally I went. I was really pleased with the fish. I ordered the dentice (snapper), which was grilled to perfection with lemon. The vegetables that accompanied the fish had an Asian flavor, which was quite good. The care for the table setting and menu were modern... More

In Bosco Luigi runs a very nice restaurant. Almost always busy because of the good quality of the food and that at a modest price. A wide range of wines (Luigi's passion) is available. The staff is friendly and all contribute to the fine sphere that makes you feel welcome. It's one of my regulars in the neighborhood of Perugia.

We were a family group of 8 including 2 young children. We found Luigi not very accommodating to requests concerning the children - unusual In Italy. The pasta was good but all the other dishes were nondescript and disappointing, especially as they had been talked up by Luigi. The marinated beef dish, a speciality, was reminiscent of school dinners! The... More

This restaurant owner..., his name is Luigi... Between tables he is running around, but when he stops at your table, you are the only guest in the restaurant. Even when the house is full. He will guide you around on the menu and explain every dish on the card, every bottle of wine. Not (only) to please you, but because... More

Fantastic food and wine, good and english speaking service, easy parking, spacious and cosy outdoor seating. The best antipasti I've ever tasted. Don't miss this gem!

It was by pure coincidence that we stopped for dinner at this restaurant on our way from Rome to Urbino - and what a pleasant suprise that was ! The cozy illumination and rustic structure of the Osteria del Bosco caught our attention from the outside; parking was easy, and the friendly welcome by the staff inside made us feel... More

Osteria del Bosco is highly recommended. The antipasti buffet alone is worth a visit, great choice and superb taste. They have hot and cold starters, many of them home made. But also the main dishes we had were excellent. The service is kind and English speaking. We went there twice within our week close to Perugia.

We visited twice for evening meal. Serve-yourself buffet antipasto was special. Pasta dishes were excellent and the house red wine very drinkable. Staff extremely friendly and attentive. Prices reasonable.
