Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon and found the place very busy. The downstairs area sells some attractive looking chocolates whereas the upstairs sitting area offers a nice view over the market and an okay selection of food and drinks.

The place is fantastic: old fashioned but elegant, great location beautiful decor. Nevertheless is always crowded. They have great strawberry macarrons and chocolate cake.
Kids and me arrived in Basel and wanted a nice drink - kids were drawn to chocolates in the window and soon I realised they had seating upstairs - what a great place - bit pricey after France but worth every Swiss Franc!
