My wife and I visited the restaurant spontaneous for lunch and were warmly welcomed by a waitress. The Quinoa, Rucola Salad, Polenta fries with truffle dip were excellent, as well as the Spaghettone carbonara and Gnocchi-schwarzer truffle, however there were just two tiny brown pieces of truffle visible. The white cake-like bred that was served, on request only, to the salad must have been around since hours and was therefore completely dry. The „white house-wine“ does not really meet the expectations. The kitchen team worked very slow, i.e. our waiting time was rather long, however the overall quality and freshness of the dishes on the other hand has been really excellent! Eliane the waitress was throughout very professional, attentive, friendly and did an excellent job. The Espressi were expectedly of great quality but the overall price we paid was on the expensive side. The Restaurant management, if there is one has possibly been on holiday during our visit, and the restaurant as such has definitely room for improvement. The service by the respective staff as above mentioned was in contrast a highlight!

Good food, abysmal service

The food was excellent both the pizzas and the salats can be recommended. However, the service was confused and disjointed. In spite of the restaurant only being half full staff came across as busy, confused and not particularity friendly. Not a great experience.

Nice location and friendly staff

The restaurant has been renovated recently and the design is really nice, both inside and outside. The staff is very friendly. The food is ok. Very good calamari salad, mediocre tuna focaccia, pizza is ok. Tiramisu is also ok but nothing special. Good choice of wines, also by glass. Conclusion: nice location with friendly staff and ok food.

The best pizza ever

The best pizza ever. The food was so delicious that it was even sad to finish it. All ingredients, including dough, sauce, cheese, vegetables and even seasoning, tasted so fresh giving a lot of flavor to the dish. We also had local beer that was complimenting the meal. Service was very friendly, welcoming and high quality. Will definitely go back there once in Bern again!

Dear varvararumiantceva, What a great review for us to receive, thank you! We are pleased you enjoyed our pizza so much. Our pizzaiolo puts a lot of passion and effort into making a perfect pizza. The flour comes from the Caputo mill in lively Napoli, considered the finest flour in the world. We let the dough "rest" for 48 hours to make it airy and light before it is then shaped and topped with the freshest ingredients, and baked in a traditional wood-fired oven. The food was really good, don’t get me wrong. However, almost none of the staff speaks english (only swiss german). Then, a wasp fell into our coke, and instead of replacing it for free (as it was undrinkable and less than half of it was drunk), they made us pay. As we tried to negotiate, the manager who doesn’t speak ANY english, took a waitress as a translator and simply kept lying and saying he told us we had to pay it, when he said quote « she can have new ». The staff was pretty comprehensive though but we still had to pay the coke which is really dishonest. I would not recommend

Apart from German, which is spoken in this part of Switzerland, our staff members speak Italian and English, for example. Due to the staff rotation, it may be that some speakers are not available. Poor service and food

Staff were so inattentive. We almost walked out as no one came near us or acknowledged us for over 20 minutes once we sat down. Eventually flagged down the server who was quite disinterested. Pizza crust was very doughy and did not enjoy. Pasta was just ok. Asked to pay and waiter threw our credit card back to us. Never gave us eye contact. No one asked how our meal was. Pricey for a very average meal. I would not recommend it.

Spent a lovely Wednesday evening with friends here. Very friendly waitress who made us feel very welcome and who recommended us a great wine. Thank you Aneta :) Pizza was fantastic and the Tiramisu simply divine. Will definitely be back sometime soon.

Poorly welcomed, where is the staff..?? Where is the manager…!?

I believe there was no manager when I visited Sunday 28th of May . We were poorly welcomed by the staff, I was looking forward to have lunch on your terrace. Once we sat on a table we waited at least 10 minutes. Staff had disappeared…we decided to leave and give the chance to another place.

Great place for drinks and snacks

Stopped in for a drink and decided to have a few snacks. The cauliflower was amazing loved it and the polenta chips. Really friendly lady serving us who was helpful. Located near the bridge and the child eater fountain statue. They also had a good menu for lunch and dinner.

Like in a true Pizza Napoletana, we use the original Caputo flour for pizza dough and Fior di latte instead of normal mozzarella. We are located in the heart of Bern in the famous Kornhaus. Average, overpriced food, very poor service

We waited ages to be seated. The staff may have been busy but that is no excuse for the rudeness they displayed . They seemed to think we should be prepared to wait with out expecting to know a timescale for a table to be available. The menu was very limited and the food not great . We couldn't catch the eye of a waiter to get the bill at the end of the meal as all staff seemed to be attending to one large table and ignoring anyone else. We went to pay at the till but were told to sit back down and wait for our waiter. When we refused as we had already waited some time . We asked the member of staff at the till to call over the person who could take our payment or we would just leave, she said she would call the police! A novel approach to customer service.!

Terrible Service

The food is okay, but the service is terrible. Our waitress was very unfriendly and, excuse me, did her Job really bad (was to much to mention here). For the prices you pay there, I expect better service.
