We had whole perch & Sausage with Potato soup which was very good. I also had mulled wine (Gluhwein) which was also very comforting in the cold weather. Excellent set menu options for the winter season with excellent service. Would definitely recommend this place.

We came to Bern to try fondue to celebrate my daughter 's bday. Since it was a special day we slept in and arrived in Bern at 2pm. We quickly found out all Bern restaurant kitchens close between 2 pm and 6pm. They are open for drinks but you cannot order from the menu. Our saving grace was Zunft Zu... More

Came here two times for lunch, very well priced menu. 23 chf for a soup and a horse steak with fries and veggies. Amazing quality and value!

I was in Switzerland and keen to try a cheese fondue as I had seen it advertised outside a number of restaurants so finally decided to go for it in this central Bern restaurant, as I noticed an alcohol free option on the menu outside. The restaurant has a number of tables outside, which is where I was seated, although... More

Chose this restaurant based on our desire to sit outside on a beautiful evening. Should have guessed by the space that perhaps it wasn't great. We started with some pleasant prawns - not amazing but very tolerable. Sadly, after that I ordered the weinerschnizel in which the breading was thicker than the meat - in fairness this wasn't hard as... More

As a yearly visitor to this restaurant...what a shoking experience...it seems a lot can happen within a year...arrived timely for our dinner reservation..order our meal...then the wheels came off...one hour wait for starters. It was actually excellent...no apology offered from wsiter for delay. One hour later still no main course...After no feedback as to where our main course was and... More

The restaurant had three tables occupied yet We waited for 10 minutes then were told we couldnt take a starter and a dessert. We would be charged a main course. Drinks came late. Really bad food. Toilets dirty. Staff indifferent. AVOID AS ITS A CLASSIC TOURIST TRAP

We came her for a light lunch on a public holiday. Sat outside in the sun. Wanted to order a salmon tartar and scrambled eggs and were told that CHF 8.90 would be added if we only ordered the starter size. Ok, not a problem at all. So we changed to a main size for the tartar and ordered a... More

This is a very well situated brasserie style restaurant in the centre of Bern. Not far from the Federal Government building and, in the other direction, the famous Bear Pit. The service was friendly and efficient (our waiter was a very kind Tunisian man, bravo and thanks!). The service is a bit slow, but I put that down to the... More
