Worried about high cost of eating in Geneva whilst visiting motor show and found this place on here the day before we went. Visited for Lunch (well 1:30ish) 4 of us ordered the pasta - 2 x carbonara. 1 X carbonara Penn Grande (large portion)...1 X Bologaise Penn . 2 X Glass Chardonnay 1 X Pints of Lager. Total bill - 101 Swiss Franks so approx £90 which was not catastrophic and really cheap compared with other places we saw. More importantly it was delicious! and the portions are massive! so much so that the Grande portion of Carbonara was just too big! So this is decent place in Geneva old town with good friendly service that I would recommend. Don't get me wrong - its not posh by any means but fitted the bill !More

Super friendly host who let us come in from the rain to eat lunch even though they were due to close. We were recommended a pasta dish with mild spicy tomato and cream sauce with buffalo mozzarella....it was the best!

We were on a day trip to Geneva and wanted somewhere budget friendly to eat. I saw this restaurant on TripAdvisor and booked (book on the day). The restaurant didn’t disappoint. The owner was very friendly, the atmosphere was cosy and the food was delicious...and reasonably priced (15CHF for penne carbonara). Highly recommend a visit if you’re in the old town.More

This place. In a city where everything is expensive on a student budget, this somehow is manageable. Plates between 15-17 CHF. Big Big plate of pasta. Owner is real nice. Great Atmosphere. Recommend the penne Rosa.

Delicious pasta with the house sauce, really warmed us up on a bitterly cold January day in Geneva old town. Friendly staff.

They informed me that they are only a cocktail bar. The only things edible they were serving were snack type food.

The owner greeted a solo travelling me in French, realised I was English and promptly translated the menu (along with recommendations) and then greeted the next couple of customers in Spanish - switching up multiple languages as and when appropriate. The food was excellent, with...huge portions and the best prices I saw in all of Geneva. Great service and value for money - highly recommended.More

I passed by La Radar de Poche earlier on the morning of my visit and made a lunch reservation, as suggested on their website. The cook was pretty cool and very nice during this transaction and he took my reservation for lunch. I arrived at...my lunchtime reservation and took a seat inside, but a table became free on their sidewalk deck and I inquired and allowed to move to the sidewalk table after it was cleaned and disinfected. I ordered the penne pasta special of the day (14CHF) in a red sauce with chicken, cheese, and topped with rucola and an extra ‘kick‘ of spicing at my request which I had earlier inquired with the cook. The meal came with bread and the view was so nice I had a couple of beers (5CHF/each) and enjoyed the scenery. The pasta was delicious and it was a large, hardy serving size. The patio table was nice as I could take in all the happenings on the pedestrian street. Keep in mind, though they are open for a good part of the day, food is ONLY offered during lunchtime hours. The staff and cook were super nice, and the food was very good and cheap. Wi-Fi is also offered. Highly recommend!More

This is a small but confy place , close to the cathedral, were you can have a good bowl of salad or pasta (homemade sauce, bolognese, pesto) at low price (13-/14-) considering the prices in Geneve. Service is also good.

We found Le Radar de Poche via trip advisor and went out of our way to find it. I’m so glad we did too, the restaurant is small and cosy, and has a very old school European feel which we liked. Staff were extremely friendly...and asked where we were from (Australia) spoke english to us, explained the menu (even things we already knew like what penne and pesto was) and joked with us. In saying that the menu is smallish, maybe about 5 types of pasta, so be sure you want pasta when coming here! The pasta servings were very generous, extremely tasty and exceptional value for money in a city that is very exey. We also had about 3 glasses of wine each and the waiter /possible owner, walked over and topped our almost empty glasses up for free at the end. All in all, a fantastic experience and I’m so glad we went.More

My wife and I enjoyed a couple of drinks in here one evening while strolling around Geneva. Had a few glasses of the beer recommended by the owner, and very nice beer it was. My wife had a glass of his special sangria, followed by...a glass of his take on a Baileys coffee. Both were excellent. Very genial host, will be back.More

Fantastic value. The pasta was good and at a great price for Switzerland. The portions are pretty large. Food is only served during the day. We accidentally showed up in the evening and came back for lunch the next day.
