We had lunch there. The service was ok and the food too. I could honestly not see much difference to any other Thai restaurant- we paid chf 70 pp for starters and mains - for chf 25-35 it would have been a better rating. I...More

Went to Patara for a business dinner. Great location. The food was OK but certainly not fine dining in my opinion. I have been to many Thai restaurants around the world that are better for a fraction of the price, including one in a pub...More

Been there for dinner. Good food and friendly staff. Variety of Thai food and other Asian delights. Rather pricy and expensive, but comparable to other restaurants in that area of Geneva. Would come back for trying the other choices from the menu.

The Patara is a very nice Thai culinary experience. It is most certainly the best restaurant of its segment in Geneva. I have now been there a couple of times and enjoyed the food and the place. My only criticism would be that although the...More

On our way to shopping we found this little restaurant and WOW THAT IT WAS AMAZING!! Everything we ate was good and the wine amazing. We tried a typical wine from the region and it turned out to be so good, try the Chasselas....

We live in Geneva so high restaurant prices are not so shocking. This restaurant shocked us tremendously. Very, very bad value for money. Food quality so-so. Service mediocre. We were a bit surprised that it was almost empty on Sunday, we understood once we left....More

So disappointed in this Restaurant. I had great hopes in view of the fact that the chefs were trained in a 5* establishment in Thailand. The service in this hotel was unfriendly at best, the prices shockingly high, and the food mediocre at best. Definitely...More

Description
Since opening in 1999, Patara rapidly became a leading reference in Thai gastronomy and has long been one of the go-to addresses in international Geneva. This Mecca of culinary refinement is in reality the Geneva ambassador of one of the finest tables in Bangkok. It stands out for the authenticity and modernity of its cuisine, offering innovative combinations of spices, flavours and modes of preparation. The restaurant is located within the exceptional setting of the Hotel Beau-Rivage and boasts all the know-how, exclusive recipes and service philosophy of its Thai parent company. The chefs and kitchen team are sent to Geneva from Bangkok after being trained and having spent at least five years in the group's establishments. In a scrupulous concern for authenticity and freshness, ingredients are sent out twice a week from Bangkok, and are used in combination with the finest local produce. A comprehensive wine-list, selected especially for their harmonious combination with spicy dishes, rounds off a unique gastronomic experience on the banks of Lake Geneva, combining the best of East and West.
