While this restaurant is really famous for its Swiss traditional cheese fondue, it also has a lot to offer for those who prefer to eat something else. There are great salads and a variety of traditional dishes including excellent steaks. Beyond the à la carte choice, there is also a daily special menu, consisting of a salad, a honest soup... More

If you want to eat a typical Swiss dish it is really a nice restaurant. It's not centrally placed but easily reached from the center of Geneva by bus. The staff is very good and quick and food was really good too.

I was in Geneva for a conference last week and everyone kept recommending this place. My colleague and I stopped in around 5 pm on Friday. Since we were early, we were able to get a table without a reservation. The atmosphere was casual and comfortable. We had swiss wine, salad, charcuterie, and fondue. Let's just say not a drop... Dear TravelingSK, Thank you very much for coming at Café du Soleil and leaving this lovely comment. For the record, the crispy cheese at the bottom is called "La Religieuse" and we are more than happy to scrap it for you, do not hesitate to ask. We hope to see you on your next trip to Geneva and wish you... More

One of our favourite joints but had not been back in a long time. A nice neighbourhood café/restaurant which has its own reputation and clientèle. The food is varied and very good. You can have a good fondue, a platform du jour for lunch. But my favourite is Malakoff, a kind of cheeseball and their Gruyère cream with meringue is... More

This is a nice place with hearty, traditional Swiss food. It's a great alternative to the more touristy Bains de Paquis and the Fondue is better as well.

I went there to have cheese fondue. It was very good. The staff were friendly. The place was crowded, and most tables were reserved. It has a good taste of Geneva for sure.

Claims to have the best Fondue in Switzerland, am not the one to judge that competition but it was certainly good. Typical local restaurant that could do with a bit of a interior makeover and improved ambiance (town down the lights). Worth a visit

It's all about the fondue. Although in summertime their lentil, strawberry and blue cheese salad is pretty spectacular too. But really, fondue. With fondant wine. I returned recently after a break of many years and pretty much nothing had changed. Which in this case is a good thing. Delicious. You can hear your arteries closing over, but it tastes so... More

It was a very good fondue. Place is a typical Swiss fondue place, not a nice place but the fondue is very good. If you are looking for taste an excellent fondue without taking care a fashion, glamour place, go there. Reservation... you must do, native people full the place. Service people are friendly the owner too.
