This restaurant at the Kleine Scheidegg station serves traditional Swiss food: rösti, raclette, sausages etc. It has a convenient location in the middle of the skiing slopes, yet accessible by a railroad. And this is the place to change to a train to Jungfraujoch. But the food is very heavy, and very average.

Other than that... The fare is eclectic. Many items not prepared as you would expect. Over time, the food has become greasier and less thoughtfully prepared. Service can be hit and miss. Wak up the hill to another place, or wait till you get back down...

The food is always good here. We ate here many times during our last ski visit to the region. The frustration can be getting a table as this place is really popular but the standard of the food is great.

On the way down from the Jungfraujoch we were just famished and had to get some food, and now. This nice little restaurant is right where you get off the train, so you can sit outside and enjoy the awesome view as well as the trains. We ordered a variety of Swiss traditional dishes, e.g. Rösti with eggs. The portions... More

Big portions of OK food. Nothing special but good for the hungry hiker. Easy accessible also for train riders

I expected at least 10Fr for breakfast dish here, being so high up in the Alps, but it turned out you could get it for less. Although reasonable by Swiss standards, it's still expensive. The wood ambience of the restaurant is nice and cosy. This is perhaps a good place to stock up your carbs for that long ski/hike ahead,... More

We stopped here for lunch after a walk to Eigergletcher. We ordered two meals and a drink. During the meal we received the bill wedged under our bottle from the waitress who served us. We actually would have ordered more drinks and a dessert but this put us off our dining experience. As we were finishing off our food the... More

The food here is hearty and comes in big portions. The price is reasonable (for Switzerland - not the rest of the world) and the quality is decent. Make sure you continue your skiing or hiking in the afternoon as the disches tend to be of the heavy, calorie-rich variety. I've eaten here more times than I can recall -... More

Delicious, local, home-cooked food. Great local beers and wine. Generally good service. We happened to be there on a very busy weekend and the wait-staff was pretty stressed. Even so, they were generally responsive and pleasant.

This restaurant was a pleasant surprise after a disapointing meal on an other restaurant the day before. The portions was big enough for a full sized man and the taste was nothing to complain about. After a day on Eiger and the Jungfraujoch this was just the right medicine for my hungry tummy. Big recomendation from me!
