Upon arrival very late on a Friday evening in Wengen, it was difficult to find a place to have a quick dinner after a rather long trip. I was very pleased that Pizzeria Da Sina was still serving and offering takeaway service. Friendly, efficient and proactive but very busy staff, very good pizzas and typical Italian atmosphere! Definitely recommend restaurant to enjoy a pleasant Italian meal!

The good thing first- all our pizza were very good. The porcini pasta was somewhat salty but eatable. Rest was a bad experience with unfriendly staff and slow service. They never asked you for another drink etc and seemed to be happy to get you out.

The food was decent and the ambience was lovely. But the service was lacking. We had to ask for bread, then they brought it and it was these 2 inches circles-everyone else had regular slices. Had to ask for oil and vinegar after the bread. No saucers were ever brought-were we to pour it on the bread? Never offered us dessert. Waited and waited for our check. Frankly this is a fairly decent tourist town with just 800 residents. I know that staff is lacking but it was a bit ridiculous sitting around waiting for service and finally the check.

In the off season there's not a lot of choice. This place was cute, took reservations, and staff were reasonably friendly. We had the spare ribs - tough, way too salty, and the garlic sauce was basically straight mayo. The vegetables were frozen and tasted as if they had been lost in the freezer and tasted like everything else in there. 40 CHF. Eggplant parmigiana was very scant pile of eggplant covered in bottled tomato sauce - and it was undercooked. Another 40 CHF. Fizzy water was initially not fizzy at all so had to send it back. HIghlight was that the local beer was excellent and sweet potato fries also!

We stopped in for some lunch after reading some positive reviews. The pizza was tasty with a good, crunchy crust on the thinner side. I found it resembled a "bar pie" size and style. The service was friendly but on the slower side, however they did not make you feel rushed even though the restaurant was very busy.

It’s a quaint restaurant and surprisingly busy. We ordered three different dishes. One pizza margarita which was excellent. One lamb which was so badly cooked it was inedible and had to be sent back and one pasta dish which couldn’t ever be served in Italy. It was called the Portofino pasta. The Spaghetti came with cold chopped up Mozzarella and chopped up cold tomatoes sitting on the top. That was it. We were all a bit incredulous that it could be served like hospital food. The pasta was the princely sum of 25 Swiss francs. It has to be one of the worst Italian meals I’ve ever eaten. The lamb was replaced with a pizza and an apology. However it was made clear to us that we still had to pay for the lamb. So we would suggest a generous review gives it Two stars because the pizza was very good but everything else was sadly dreadful. If you come here make sure it’s only for the pizza.

Unfortunately one of the worst pizzas I ever had - the pizza came raw and uncooked in the centre. Completely soggy and wet. After asking for it to be cooked more the manager tried to explain the Pizza was cooked original style “napolitiana style” and explaining he uses 380C instead of 500c like the pizza oven in Napoli. It left the pizza uncooked and raw, after opening and cutting the pizza they took it back and returned it exactly the same way. Either way - I would not recommend this place in any way!

I went here as a change from my hotel. To be fair, my hotel has great food, I just wanted a pizza. I ordered a small Napoli with extra shrimps. According to the menu, the pizza should have been CHF 20 and the shrimps should have cost CHF 6 extra. When they brought the pizza, it was covered in mushrooms and no shrimps. I pointed out that this was wrong and the waitress took it away. After a long wait, the same pizza came back, still covered in mushrooms but with 5 shrimps on top. It was obviously the same pizza as it was no longer hot. I ate over half of it, then asked for the bill. When the bill came, they had charged me CHF 23 for the pizza and CHF 10 for the shrimps. When I queried this, the waitress offered to bring me the menu. I pointed to the bit that said the shrimps were only CHF 6 and the pizza should have been CHF 20, and she brought a new bill, with the correct price for the shrimps, but it still was charging me CHF 3 more for the pizza. She said this was “for the mushrooms”. I never asked for mushrooms in the first place! I paid the extra for the mushrooms that I never ordered because the whole experience was so flipping soul destroying. Honestly, check your bill carefully because they obviously think tourists are a bit stupid.

Terrible service. Waiters were extremely rude, When we asked if we could join two tables they told us that we had to do it ourselves. The customer service is one of the worst Ive ever had in my life and I travel quite frequently.

We regularly stay in Wengen for family ski holidays, and Da Sina’s is a regular stop for us. It’s good basic Italian food and a good atmosphere. Great for families; our kids are teenagers and we are very often as Da Sina’s with another family.

My son chose the restaurant for two meals during our few days in Wengen, and the place did not disappoint. I love places with more rustic and classic interiors. We always went without booking as soon as the restaurant opened, were seated promptly and received good service throughout. The main courses and desserts were delicious and we very much enjoyed it. I have to apologize for making a mess with my Apfelschorle during the first meal as some of it ended up on the table cloth. The restaurant is very popular among visitors and fills up quickly, especially at high season. Both my son and I do recommend it.

High expectations for a nice dinner at Da Sina, after calling ahead about menu and making an online reservation. Restaurant is nice, tucked away in Wengen. Sat down for our dinner and began to order. Waiter was taking order, and we inquired about accommodating an allergy, and adding some chicken to our meal. Said he would return after asking kitchen. Never came back before our food arrived. What Italian restaurant doesn’t have chicken on the menu? This one. (Even tho it’s mentioned as an ingredient in dishes on menu) Service was ok otherwise. Food: pizza looks great, but lacks taste. Overpriced bowls of pasta and red sauce (no chicken available) Steak and eggplant were good. Not the Italian dinner we weee expecting, but I guess that’s what happens when Da Sina is only game in town.

Da Sina is a long term Wengen restaurant at a time when others have come and gone. Great post skiing hang out with hearty food, good portions and some very drinkable Italian wine. Well worth booking at busy times if you want a guaranteed seat as they do get busy. Prices are reasonable by CHF standards and service is friendly ,noticeably warm on 2nd (or 3rd!) visit. Tiny niggle about being charged for tap water after quaffing plenty of wine. Coffee is good and try a grappa to finish off. Looking forward to seeing them next year.

Well we originally like this restaurant but over the years , and we’ve been coming here for 6 years , the quality has decreased immensely. Pizzas that were once amazing are now a horrible pool with wet dough . Don’t recommend , unless you wanna gamble and maybe get a good pizza.

Thank you for taking the time to submit your feedback, we value critics as they help us improve. We are very sorry that you didn't enjoy your pizzas. Since our Pizzaiolo did an additional course at the end of last summer, we improved our dough and we have been receiving many compliments since. My understanding is that your Pizzas may not have been in the oven long enough and therefore you found it to be soggy. In a restaurant, like in every other business mistakes can happen, they shouldn't but unfortunately at times they do. A simple complaint to the waiter would have resulted in new Pizzas, with which you more then likely would have left our restaurant with a smile. I'm sure any restaurant would be most thankful to be given the opportunity to solve the issue there & then. We apologize once again for the negative experience you had with us & hope we get the opportunity to to prove to you that our restaurant has far from decreased.

We had a wonderful dinner there, sitting under the trees on a warm summer evening, enjoying the panorama of the mountains around us. Service was good and speedy, and especially their beef was excellent. I can highly recommend their grill menu, the meat is local and comes from a charcoal grill. Their wine by the glass offering is ok, better to take a bottle. On some evenings, they have bands playing.
