Best gnocchi we've ever had. The couple that runs the place were friendly and cute. Still thinking about it months later.

Just outside, just up the mountain Monte Bre, this place is worth getting to. The chef is from Calabria, souther Italy so don't be afraid to get something or ask him to make it spicy.

Located in the village of Ruvigliana, Il Camino has really good food. Mostly local food (Italian pasta and seafood), but also the owner and chef is from Calabria, Italy and has a great reputation. Not located in the most scenic and interesting place, but a wonderful place to check out!

This is the first restaurant we've found in the Lugano area that feels authentic. It's not a "tourist" spot, although, I imagine they would make tourists from anywhere feel welcome. Il Camino is a family restaurant, run by husband and wife that offers delicious dishes at reasonable (for Lugano) prices. An added bonus is the fact that the cook is... More

We walked all the way up the hill on a lovely warm evening. It is a very pleasant and exhausting walk and we were warmly greeted by the owner. This place was recommended by our B&B and we were so pleased we came. The owner helped us by translating the menu and we were delighted with out food. The wine,... More

Charming little local restaurant to which we walked up many steps from Castagnola (although found that we could have got the No11 bus which stops almost outside the door). So we were pleased our effort was worth it as the meal was lovely, the service charming (our host recited the entire menu in english for us) and the wine excellent.... More

I am confused with the rave reviews - just got back from here Average buffalo/mozzerela salad Expensive wine (even the local Ticino!) Average pasta main courses Average tiramisu Nice view Nice Staff How does that get you 4/5 or 5/5??? Not bad but you should probably go elsewhere.

In short, take a walk to Camino (pun intended). This restaurant is delicious. The food is excellent. The chef comes to the table to take your order, that's a first! The pasta is cooked to perfection; the sauce is fresh and perfectly seasoned. The wine list is short, but all wines are good, so one cannot go wrong. The decor... More
