Warm welcoming, nice cosy restaurant, good food. The prices are high aligned with the altitude of the restaurant. Big need for improvement of sanitary installation

The location of this hut is already great: out of the way, from the main ski area, perched on 3030m on the edge, overlooking the Gorner glacier. Where very good traditional Swiss cuisine (mostly cheese oriented food) for skiers. If you sit out on the terrace, this is great if the setting is magical, if the weather keeps you inside,... More

From Hornli to Gandegg Hutte is about 4 hour, mostly all down hill as one would think. Located a 15 minute walk from Trockner Steg it has tremendous views of the Klein Matternhorn and the glaciers. It is a smaller hutte with a large balcony and warm, inviting dinning/sitting area inside. We arrived earlier than anticipated so had lunch on... More

The location of this cabin is already amazing: out of the way, off the main ski area, perched at 3030m on the edge, overlooking the Gorner Gletscher. Stayed while skiing recently for an overnight even though we had a nice hotel in Zermatt itself. we were the only ones staying. we were well looked later and a good meal provided both evening and breakfast. we were lucky with weather and had the most fantastic sunset and sunrise. Bear in mind if you do stay this is mountain... More

The restaurant must boost the best late sun spot on the Zermatt Piste with mountain views to win debate on any level. Many people ski past without ever seeing this climbing refuge which doubles as a great place to eat wholesome food and grab a beer in the most spectacular location in Zzzzz. Check it out on your ski map... More

A beautiful location with stunning views. Now for the bad news !!! It is a nightmare walking hike uphill on skis to get there, even if you are super fit,its testing !! When you get there you are asked, CHF10 for, gluhwein,CHF13 for a bottle of water. With these prices,it simply is not worth the effort of going there. Sit in... More

If you know how to get there - which you can only do by boarding / skiing and then hiking a little - it is a monument to simpler times overlooking monster cliffs with a huge glacier down below .... The views are stunning and so are the cliffs that drop off all around you - so be careful !... More

This is one of the greatest restaurants in the mountains of Zermatt. While the menu list is not that large, all the food is excellent. Service too is very nice and the location is unparalleled.

This place is just magical, with one of the most stunning views in the whole of the Valais. In summer if you're planning to go up to the Kleine Matterhorn ensure you get off the cable car at Trockensteg on the way back and head up to the hut. It's only 20-30 minutes away and well sign posted. You also... More
