Had dinner at 'Chez Gaby' last night. The Chateau-Briand we ordered for the 3 of us was delicious, as was the Cuvée from a local winery. Unfortunately, the service was at best mediocre; our waitress Nicole seemed annoyed about just anything, which put a damper on an otherwise very good meal.

We have been there on a Thursday night.Ordered one of Gaby's so called specialities. 34 € for a mixed grill size xxs. For me absolute no go. Anyway there are much better locations in Zermatt.

This place is like a smaller version of Max Julen and the food is cooked on the fire in the centre and served by efficient quick and friendly staff.

I have been going here for dinner since 1971 and it still provides some of the best food in Zermatt. Meats cooked over the fire are the specialties

A grill house with really good quality of meat. The service was very kind and fast. Must try the veal or the fondue!

Went to Chez Gaby for dinner and it was just a really good meal. A fun atmosphere and nice service. There were six of us and we all enjoyed our dinners. Most of us ordered veal, lamb or steak - the meat is grilled to order. It was all delicious. The baby lamb chops were very tender. Served, of course,... More

We very much enjoyed our dinner at Chez Gaby. The food was up to expectation. The service was pleasant and competent. The price was reasonable. We would happily return.

We visited the Chez Gaby for dinner in September 2016. Although we arrived slightly early, the restaurant let us have a table and a drink while the dinner service was started. The restaurant itself is just of the main street off the main crossing bridge, and is very cosy and had a very nice atmosphere. Food was great and the... More

... you'll be back for sure! Chez Gaby is a little off the beaten path, that's what makes it a popular spot with the locals. Though the layout has changed a little since I first ate there in 1986, the food is just as good, the atmosphere just as warm and, no matter how busy it is, you'll always get... More

This was by far the worst dining experience during our 2 week holiday in Switzerland. We were 2 adults amd one child and left the restaurant hungry. The portions (rösti) are small, the quality looks cheap and we found the price for the green salad scandalous : 7,50 cHF for 2 lettuce leaves and 1 piece of tomato. The meat... More

Dear Family Leendec We thank you for having chosen our place and sincerely regret that your expectations were not fulfilled. I am extremely surprized about your review. Nobody should leave our restaurant hungry! I remember having received the order for the kitchen for two smaller portions of our home made Rösti. It generally means that the hunger is not so... More
