Really crowded place for a very good reason. Welcoming and friendly atmosphere, professional staff and delicious food. The prices are quite reasonable compared to other restaurants in Switzerland you will rarely meet other tourists but a lot of foreigners are coming together with their colleagues after work and enjoy a wine with cheese raclette. There is a lunch menu available... More

I went with my 18-month old child for lunch. One of the waiters that served us was constantly very unfriendly -- he refused to bring a child seat, so we moved it from another table to our table ourselves -- I ordered a soup and a pasta dish, and he brought the two at once, so while I was feeding... We realised at 7 pm that we don't have reserved a table. And as I was in Lausanne with a friend, who desperately wanted a swiss-style dinner, we began to make calls. Cafe de l'Eveche was the first one, where the waiter even tried to find us a table. OK, she didn't speak inglish, but so what? Luckily I can... More

We came at 18 p.m. to eat some early dinner but everything was just wrong: 1. Stuff didn't speak english. Ever if they understood what we were saying, they kept trying to answer in french. They whole atmosphere was like we did a huge problem by coming to restaurant without speaking french... 2. Everything was dirty. Terrible smell inside. Plates... More

Dined here twice during our visit to Lausanne. Sat outside in the attractive garden. Food was very good and average price for Lausanne. The service was very good.

First of all: the moitié-moitié fondue is good (especially with potatoes), but it's possible to have better ones around Switzerland. Second, the waiters are not that patient with non-French speakers, considering that they do understand English. It is beside Lausanne Cathedral and it's a good option after a day-walk.

This was one of my favorite dining experiences while in Switzerland. I came here based on a recommendation from my hotel. I enjoy eating where the locals eat and Cafe de l'Eveche is the real deal. It's quite casual and down to earth. No pretense here. After arriving, I was quickly seated, as it turned out, next to a very... More

This place specializes in fondu, we took the typical Moitié-moitié and it was really thick and lacked intensity in the taste. The service was great but I have to leave it at 3 because of the fondu

We have had a lunch in Cafe de l'Eveche. There are different menu choices for each day which is nice, there is also fix menu with wide variety of choices. I ordered lamb cutlets served with bread and salad and my friend a cheese risotto. Everything was just absolutely delicious!!!!!! Fresh full of taste, well presented, and I will repeat:... More
