Nice neighborhood restaurant in a residential area around Hottingerplatz. The restaurant is quiet small, but even more cozy and intimate. The food was delicious and the service welcoming.

The restaurant is run by a small group of people, food is all right and prices are reasonable. It has the feel of a neighborhood restaurant patronized by retired people.

Made a reservation online earlier on in the day and arrived at the restaurant which looked lovely from the outside. There seemed to be different floors perhaps to different restaurants all under one roof, I;m not sure. ON arrival, the waitress didn't seem to understand...when we said we had booked a table. But nevertheless we were sat down. The food was delicious; we had a steak with potato rosti and a veal schnitzel which were both really nice. We also ordered waffles for dessert which were lovely too. Although we were used to the Zurich prices, we were still quite alarmed that the bottle of still water we ordered cost more than a pint of beer! But we didn't mind too much. Lovely little restaurant.More

We had the perfect spot for our dinner oitside underneath a big tree. The atmosphere at thr Rosengarten is really lovely and the staff very friendly and so it didn’t matter that we had to wait a little bit for our food. The menu does...not have a huge selection but it has some swiss and some zurich classic which where absolutey delicious and the portions the size not to feel hungry after. I recommend the fresh waffles for dessert with a scoop of prune ice cream.More

My hotel recommended Rosengarten in contrast to another nearby restaurant which my hotel said was "too expensive" The food was all right, all as presented on the menu, not haute cuisine. Clients were mostly local and quite a few looked like retired people. A decent...meal at a reasonable price. What was fun was that three separate diners had their dogs with them under the table, at one point this created exceitement on the part of one of the dogs but there was no harm done.More

Typical neighborhood bistro with a small but ok menu. Service is ok. Not acceptable was coffee served in cold cups but it was replaced at no cost. Wines are nothing to write home about and have a markup of over 100 percent. And whether it...is prosecco or a red Italian wine, everything is served in the same glass. Quite special.More

Rosengarten has changed management. Pity. I loved the old team, dishes and warm atmosphere. The new menu is very meat heavy. The old menu was quite balanced and some local and some foreign dishes. The former staff were friendly and welcoming. They would find a...way to help you out. It felt like your neighbourhood local. The new staff shoo you away. Also it feels like they are trying to be more than the friendly local place.More

I dined at this restaurant as part of a work christmas party. The food was consisted with traditional Swiss Christmas cuisine. I must admit that the meal was a bit of a novelty to me but I really enjoyed it.

This restaurant has been around for a long time, in an old half-timbered house. In summer it has a wonderful garden, but in november we had the choice of 2 rooms. Upstairs more intimate, downstairs the more spacious main room, but both good sized spaces...with the atmosphere of centuries past. Good and attentive staff, menu a good choice from a mix of traditional and more adventurous fare. Wine for everyone's taste at good prices. Food was well presented and we enjoyed a good old fashioned night going out for dinner.More
