Very solid menu and cooking, nice sake list, Ginza prices. But this is a real Japanese, so there are no strange variations and extemporations. The best value is the set menu. The sushi and sashimi are very good.

We had sushi here a few months ago and it was good but what you really have to come here for are the hot pots. We had a meat and a fish pot and it was really good. The broth was very tasty and the ingredients were very good and added even more flavour to the dish. Also have to... More

Dropped in on a Friday night w/o a reservation. Place was fully booked, but they had room at the bar. We chose the set vegetarian menu. The food was delicious -- freshly made with care. Considering how expensive restaurants are in Switzerland generally, the price was fairly reasonable. The bartender who took the order messed up a couple of things... More

I eat quite often to Japanese restaurants due to my job and this one really took me back to Japan. Excellent service and really good homemade food. I had never tried homemade tofu. It's just delicious and so different from the regular one. The soba with tempura was amazing. Top option in Zurich.

Solid Japanese food, with consistent quality. Udon is amazing, as well as the smaller dishes. Sushi/sashimi is average, on par with other Japanese offerings in Switzerland.

First time in Bimi we tried a lot of Sushi and rolls, which were very nice. Quite pricey for what it is and the place itself though, some other places in the area offer a better atmospfere and the same Level of Food. The menu is big though so a lot of choice. The second time we went for Shabu-Shabu.... More

We (Swiss/Japanese couple) went to Bimi to enjoy a birthday lunch. Unfortunately it was a big disappointment. Starters and salad were good. Tempura was obviously fried in old oil and thus not only tasted bad but also made my partner sick afterwards. My sushi wasn't fresh either, especially the maguro was stale and unpleasant. A price of 80.- CHF per... More

It is always a pleasure to come back to Bimi. Nice atmosphere, very friendly staff and owner, and the food is definitely one of the best Japanese in town. Once again the ramen soup, the chawanmushi, the chicken teriyaki were all excellent, and then the salmon nigiri and the crispy salmon roll. Just to die for! Good wine selection and... More

Second time I went there with a group of friends to have their delicious sukiyaki! Really worth trying! Great environment and good service as well. On the down side: it's pricey - but that shouldn't put you off or come as big news for Zurich....
