We had such a fabulous meal here, the people serving us could not have been nicer. From the stir fried salmon amuse bouche to the tuna tartar starter , the braised beef rib main and the simply amazing selection of sorbets for dessert .. all...the food was fantastic
A definite find. Slightly away from the main run of the city, down a quiet side road.. but very much worth the journey.More
Loved this place, nice garden and nice staff. We ate dinner here last night, both loved our dishes. The halibut was absolutely the best I ever had! My husband had a German dish I cannot spell, both our plates were emptied. Would definetly put this...on your go to list.More
Beautiful decoration with a local touch. You should try the daily suggestions for a budget friendly premium lunch. The service was really good and the atmosphere makes you feel out of the big city, it sets you in a mountain mood!
A must go if...you are in Zurich, it’s 5 minutes away from the National Museum of Zurich.More
Who knew comfort food could taste so good? We tried the “house special” which was “meat loaf”! The sauce was amazing, the vegetables and mash well prepared and presented and there was a generous serving of meat loaf. They also have a wonderful profiteroles dessert...and a really good wine list. Recommend!More
I realise how difficult it is to review this place when so many persons wrote positive reviews and we did not like the experience.
First a few good points: the seating is really charming and the wine list proposes some nice bottles.
Then the negative...points: food selection is "authentic" but not original and the service is very bad.
Food: mainly based on Zurich specialities with an attempt of modernity, not conclusive though.
For example, the cordon bleu is not served with fries but with baked potatoes (not cooked through so uneatable) and the cordon bleu is rolled (bad idea, meat outside is cooked but inside half boiled - nothing surprising, they should have just remembered their cooking classes, it is a classic technical mistake)
We were a table of six so of course some of the dishes were better than others but we have to admit at that price we expected ALL dishes to be high class.
Service: extremelly bad, border line rude and definetly arrogant.
Waiting time to order drinks was so long, once we ordered the bottleS of wine and mineral bottleS of water we were told to wait again to order the food. So what happened? wine was gone even before we had the food so we had to order more bottleS - is it a tactic to force consumption? It goes without saying that when we were trying to get the waiteress attention she couldn't care less.
And how surprising there was no waiting time to get the bill....and a big smile to get a tip.
In summary: The restaurant being full or not (not an excuse) when a table orders first, main and dessert courses with a lot of wine, plus beers and digestives, it is common sense to treat them well so they come back. What did we had to do to get some consideration?
We tried this place within colleagues to see if we can come with clients. Of couse, none of us never came back, what for to be badly considered again and pay a fortune on top.More
Good atmosphere and place. I was expecting a little bit more taste.
Price was fair enough. Average dinner.

Visited for dinner and sat in the courtyard. Glass of white ordered, complementary cheese and bread on table. Nice touch. Enjoyed a delightful serving of fois gras for starters. The veal rib and veal corden blue followed. Very generous servings. Service warm and friendly. Highly...recommended.More
