I love this restaurant. The chef is one of the friendliest I have met too. Here with friends for dinner and it was too quality. Their wine list is brilliant too. I chose traditional Swiss food and was not disappointed.

The place is beautifully embedded into the old town (near Lindenhof, the foundational area of Zurich) and built as a cellar restaurant. The place is cozy and inviting. Service is impeccable, way above local benchmark and competent. The meal (amuse bouche, trout as starter and delicious veal, finished by a light chocolate cake with sour cream ice cream) was worth... This is so far my best dining experience in a city where rarely I had above average fun from a dinner. It is a modern take of Rene Hofer on Swiss cooking. We were five of us and everything we ordered was great. Most notably were the lobster tempura for a first course, the lobster soup, the veal and the... More

I was visiting this restaurant for lunch. And it was just perfect. Friendly stuff from the beginning. A daily special was recommended which I didn't took because I had something else in mind. But it looked also very good as my neighbor had it. I took the famous slow cooked veal, fantastic. I also like this restaurant because the food... More

Excellent wine, comfy dinning environment, great cooking. We were surprised by the wine was really good. All you need is a deeper pocket.

This restaurant is beyond excellent. The Head Chef, René Hofer advises you on the specials. And what specials they are. From start to finish, scallops thru slow cooked veal and finishing with cheese, to the sumptuous wines on offer, we walked out of here absolutely sated. Our waitress, Cinem, only added to a wonderful evening Go here. You will not... More

This is a special restaurant serving special spins on familiar dishes. The wait staff and Chef are extremely friendly and the cuisine shows great creativity. Food prices are so ridiculously high in Zurich that this should be considered excellent value

Located in the old-town, this restaurant is popular both with locals and tourists. It's definitely one of the few restaurants in the old town that serve dishes on a high skill level. In my view, it's quite a bit overpriced for a regular dinner. I'd recommend it for special occasions though.
