As a big fan of Japanese food I was a bit concerned because of some of the posts... But nice surprise as the business lunch is excellent , expensive though (72chf). Sashimi were fresh, soft and tasty, the tempura not greasy at all, and the beef (no wagyu) more than correct.

I have been going to Sala since I immigrated to Switzerland 10 years ago, and used to feel that Sala had a piece of home (Tokyo) which I could enjoy while I had dinner there, but the quality has severely deteriorated in the last 5 years, and after having gone to a few other Japanese restaurants in Zurich, I will... This is a nice chance to eat cobi beef meat from Japan. They prepare it nicely, but 150g costs 250ch.Sushi is terrible, the worst we ever ate.Interior is cheap and uncomfortable. The location is not pleasant also.Service and wine are good. In the end you pay 500ch and stay hungry.

We had a nice dinner at the restaurant although the menu of japanese rolls is quite restricted. The menu of classic Japanese cooked food is very wide and complete. In any case the staff is very nice and prepared the rolls as we asked.

The atmophere, the staff and the food is perfect. You feel like in Japan. One can taste that food is of high quality and that every ingredient is carefully choosen. Definitively worth the price. Will come back!

We are big fans of Japanese food and while this place would be OK when compared to the best Japanese restaurants all over the world, it is the best we have experienced in Zurich. Prices are high, but Zurich is an expensive city and even a small take away at the stain tration is expensive. In comparison, a good value.

The place is cute and takes you far away to Japan. The service is nice but when it gets busy they were a little bit out of their concept. I have been there on a Saturday - it was full. The Service was not really capable with the fully booked Restaurant - we had to wait a long time for... More

Gorgeous food, extraordinary menu, friendly and awesome service - I wouldn't know what else I could expect. Some people complain it is expensive, but you get what you pay for. We went for one Sala of Tokyo menu with Kobe beef and another menu for my wife and were both very happy and full!

Not the first time we came here and the food was very good as expected. Compared to our last visit the service was not as attentive and some of the Japanese feel is getting lost.

Honestly, this place was my most expensive date ever. Ordered two voyages through Japanese cuisine and whilst not everything was delicious, everything was authentic and interesting. Took a girl out for her birthday when I was a wealthy banker in Zürich and she loved it!
